| The Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Sports Work in the New Era,published in 2020 by the General Offices of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council,stressed the importance of assisting most primary and secondary school students in using physical activity to increase their enjoyment,improve their physical fitness,develop their personalities,and strengthen their will.The traditional physical education curriculum model does a poor job of ensuring that students’ physical and mental health levels are met,and this lack of fun and quality in physical education classroom instruction has led to the reform of the physical education curriculum model.The “Chinese Health Curriculum Model” serves as a bridge between the physical education and health curriculum standards(2011 edition),and it offers suggestions on the problems that should be addressed.This study,which is based on prior research,applies the “Chinese Healthy Physical Education Curriculum Model” to junior high school basketball instruction and experimentally tests it in order to enhance students’ basketball skills,achieve the objectives of school sport,and improve their physical and mental health as well as their core literacy.The study topic for this essay is the implementation of the“Chinese Healthy Physical Education Curriculum Model” in junior high school basketball instruction.By planning controlled tests and comparing and analyzing the application impacts from the perspectives of physical fitness,basketball ability,learning interest,performance,and cooperation and willpower.(1)The model has enhanced students’ physical fitness and their capacity to withstand athletic loads,with students in the experimental class improving noticeably more than those in the control class under the conventional physical education model.Overall,nevertheless,the strategy has helped students’ physical health and their capacity for endurance exercises to increase.(2)The students’ basketball skills significantly improved after receiving instruction based on this model compared to before the experiment,and the improvement was noticeably greater than that of the students receiving instruction based on the conventional physical education model.(3)The model has a more positive impact on the development of interest,willpower,affective expression and cooperation in basketball learning.Overall,this model has a significant effect on improving the physical and mental health of junior high school students,and has certain value and significance for promotion.In order to better promote the application of the “Chinese Health and Physical Education Curriculum Model”,the following recommendations are made:(1)In the application of the model in junior high school basketball teaching,exercise loads,physical exercises and motor skills should be scientifically planned so that every student has the potential and hope to succeed.This model can be used as a regular curriculum model for junior high school basketball teaching,and can be coordinated with other teaching models for long-term implementation.(2)Under the guidance of the “Health First” curriculum philosophy,the junior secondary school physical education curriculum is scientifically designed to effectively promote students’ physical and mental health,and to enable students to truly love physical education classes and actively participate in physical exercise,thus becoming the paradigm of physical education in schools.(3)The implementation of the model should pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ cognitive,emotional and volitional qualities in the teaching and learning process,so that students can master motor skills while improving their overall physical and mental health,thus better helping them to establish the correct view and values of physical education. |
