Research On The Influencing Factors Of Residents’ Community Participation Motivation From The Perspective Of Holistic Governance

In the context of social governance,communities have become an important place for community governance,attracting attention from all sectors of society.At the same time,community social work has become an important participant in community governance.It focuses on the entire community and has a set of feasible and unique working methods.Mobilizing the initiative of residents to participate in the community is an important area of social work,which lays a mass foundation for achieving good results in community governance.However,from the perspective of residents’ participation at this stage,few residents can actively participate in the community,and residents have not effectively played a role in the community.The fundamental reason lies in the lack of motivation for community participation.Therefore,this study focuses on the factors that affect residents’ motivation to participate,using professional methods of community social work to propose strategies to improve residents’ motivation to participate from the perspective of holistic governance.In order to deeply investigate which factors have an impact on residents’ motivation for community participation,this article combs relevant domestic and foreign literature and sorts out the types of residents’ motivation for community participation,namely,responsibility motivation,rights protection motivation,entertainment motivation,and achievement motivation.Then,it sorts out the factors that affect residents’ motivation to participate,which can be roughly classified as community governance methods,community governance resources,community governance level,and community governance subjects.Therefore,it proposes four general assumptions of this study,namely,community governance methods,community governance resources,community governance level,and community governance subjects,which have a significant impact on residents’ motivation to participate.This study adopts the method of questionnaire survey,selects four different types of communities from City Y to conduct a survey,and analyzes the content of this study using the collected data.This study takes community governance methods,community governance resources,community governance level,and community governance subjects as independent variables,and takes residents’ community participation motivation(responsibility motivation,rights protection motivation,entertainment motivation,and achievement motivation)as dependent variables,The study was conducted using quantitative analysis.Firstly,through correlation analysis,it is concluded that the motivations of residents’ community participation interact with each other.In order to further verify the factors that affect residents’ motivation for community participation,this article draws a conclusion through linear regression analysis that community governance methods,community governance resources,community governance level,and community governance entities all have a significant impact on residents’ motivation for community participation.Finally,based on the results of data analysis and the professional approach of community social work,this study summarizes four strategies for improving residents’ motivation to participate from the perspective of holistic governance,namely,adopting an information-based,professional,and project-based community governance approach from the perspective of holistic governance,mining and integrating community resources,promoting the joint participation of multiple entities,and improving the level of community governance.
