A Study On Tao Xingzhi's Life Education Theory And Its Inspiration To The Ideological And Political Education In Colleges And Universitie

The ideological and political education in colleges and universities shoulders the mission of establishing morality and cultivating people,and plays an irreplaceable role on the road to the second century.It is imperative to promote the quality and efficiency of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.At present,the great achievements and the inadequacy of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities in China are compatible,and the challenge and the chance are compatible.Seeking reference from other high-quality educational resources and educational ideas is an effective way to promote innovative development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory is such a treasure of theoretical resources that can provide positive guidance for the development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.This educational thought of Chinese society,which was born a hundred years ago,can still bring beneficial enlightenment to today’s ideological and political education with its theoretical foresight.This paper consists of four chapters,which will be described in three parts besides the introduction.The first part is an overview of Tao Xingzhi’s theory of life education,introducing its formation conditions,proposition composition and important characteristics.The main contents are as follows: the theory of life education was born under the specific social and historical background,with Dewey’s educational thought as the direct theoretical source,and was deeply influenced by Wang Yangming’s theory of knowing and doing and influenced by Huizhou culture.Life education theory also has its profound practical basis,and in the seven educational movements initiated by Tao Xingzhi has been moving towards maturity.The theory of life education is the appearance of the struggle of life by Tao Xingzhi,with the basic proposition of "life as education","society is school" and "integration of teaching and practice".Each proposition contains rich content,which is practical,popular,and creative.The second part discusses the feasibility of using Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory for reference in ideological and political education in colleges and universities.This feasibility is supported by two parts.One is that across nearly a hundred years,we can still see that the three propositions of life education theory coincide with some ideas and concepts of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Secondly,this theory provides a reference to the development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.So it can be concluded that it is possible to facilitate the improvement of ideological and political education in colleges and universities by referring to the theory of life education.The third part,this paper explored the theory of life education,and sought the way of revelation and reality for the improvement of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.In promoting teacher professional development,we should carry out the concept of lifelong learning,strengthen teachers’ ethics,and promote the transformation of teachers’ roles.In terms of educational content,strengthen mental health education,labor education,employment guidance.Optimizing the family environment,school environment and social environment is the direction we should strive for in the field of educational places.In terms of educational means,we should strengthen the application of practical education,collective education and self-education.
