| With the advent of the information age, information technology is gradually involved in developing a variety of new teaching modes, providing a new teaching form for geography teaching. The new curriculum reform requires the integration of geography teaching and information technology. The teaching mode of "full-house irrigation" gradually changes, and the flipped classroom comes into people’s sight. This mode has the characteristics of openness, autonomy and interactivity.Combined with Internet technology,it can well cultivate and improve students’ autonomous learning ability and practical inquiry ability, thus implementing the new requirements of the new curriculum reform for geography teaching.By using the methods of literature research, comparative analysis and questionnaire survey, this paper expounds the research situation of flipped classroom at home and abroad, compares the flipped classroom teaching mode with the traditional teaching mode, and summarizes the advantages and limitations of flipped classroom teaching mode.By combing the curriculum content of geography compulsory one in senior high school of Hunan Education Press,it further shows that flipped classroom teaching mode has certain applicability. It is found that, compared with the traditional classroom, the flipped classroom can change the concept and shape a more flexible teaching view. The flipped classroom teaching mode uses information technology to bring students more interesting and interactive geographical knowledge, and cultivate students’ ability of communication and inquiry and autonomous learning. However, combined with the results of questionnaire survey and the comparison between flipped classroom and traditional teaching process,it can also be found that flipped classroom has certain limitations and its application difficulty is higher than that of traditional teaching, and the application degree of flipped classroom teaching mode in China is not high. Therefore, teachers need to comprehensively improve their teaching ability, strengthen the study of flipped classroom theory, integrate information technology into geography, and pay attention to geography inquiry.Besides, the school and parents also need to coordinate well, parents should supervise students’ self-regulated learning before class, and the school should actively organize a good online teaching platform and resources to jointly promote the smooth implementation of the flipped classroom mode.In this paper, there are still some shortcomings in the research process. The author will intensify the research in the future, and earnestly explore the flip classroom mode suitable for geography teaching in senior high schools.I believe that in the future geography teaching, the flipped classroom will be applied more frequently by teachers, and the teaching mode of geography teaching is no longer confined to the single mode of traditional teaching. |
