| With the continuous deepening of education reform in our country, the power of educational administration has gradually shifted down.Parents’ participation in school management has received more attention.Class as the most basic organization of school, parents’ participation in class management has gradually entered people’s vision. The lack of educational resources in rural areas affects the achievement of children’s education. Therefore, rural parents’ participation in primary school class management has become the focus of the author’s research. This article uses literature research methods to summarize the research results of parents’ participation in school management at home and abroad,in order to clarify the research environment of rural parents’ participation in primary school class management.Based on this, using the empirical research methods of questionnaires and interviews,we have summarized the main problems in the participation of rural primary school parents in class management: the lack of subject awareness of rural primary school parents, the outdated traditional concept of cooperation between home and school, and the low participation of rural parents. The content of participation by rural parents is narrow and low,and the participation process of rural parents is not guaranteed. In response to the existing problems, the author tries to reveal the reasons from the three levels of the government, schools, and parents. At the government level, the policy and regulation system is not sound and the publicity and education efforts are insufficient;at the school level, school leaders do not pay enough attention, and the working pressure of teachers,so teachers have a psychology of rejection, the mechanism of parent participation in management is not effective, and school management is blocked;at the family level, parents in rural areas have low educational level and low educational literacy.Parents hold the concept of "outsiders",thus they have low participation enthusiasm, lack professional guidance for participation in management knowledge and skills, and have limited participation capabilities. Therefore, the author tried to propose strategies for optimizing rural parents’ participation in primary school class management.First, strengthen the supportive role of the government: "three stages" to improve the institutionalization of rural parents’ participation, and establish a "cross-border" organization involving rural parents at the township level, and optimize the supervision and evaluation system for the participation of rural parents;secondly, give play to the guiding role of rural primary schools: smooth participation in management channels to form a benign interactive structure for parents and teachers;set up special training to improve literacy to empower teachers and parents;increase openness and build rural areas’ Parent Participation Checklist; Finally, pay attention to the main role of parents, establish the awareness of "insiders",and recognize the rights and responsibilities of parents to participate;strengthen self-learning,improve educational literacy to be good parents";take the initiative to participate in class activities to serve the class and students. The study of parents’ participation in school management in our country’s metropolitan areas has been relatively in-depth.The next step of this research should focus on parents’ participation in class management, especially in rural areas. The author also hopes that the research in this article can improve the status quo of plural parents’ participation in primary school class management, and provide certain reference suggestions for improving the quality of education and management of rural primary schools. |
