At present,the mismatch between the quality structure,skill level and job demand of Chinese workers has become increasingly prominent.In October 2022,“the Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Highly Skilled Personnel in the New Era” stressed that vocational schools should play a fundamental role in training highly skilled personnel.Therefore,secondary vocational education as an important part of vocational education,its teaching reform is urgent.PBL teaching model has incomparable advantages over traditional teaching methods.It not only meets the development needs of vocational education reform,but also meets the requirements of society for secondary vocational education personnel training.Based on this,this paper takes A secondary vocational school as an example to carry out corresponding application research on the "Basic Accounting" of accounting major.Firstly,by combing and summarizing a large number of domestic and foreign literature,this paper discusses the relevant theoretical concepts of the PBL teaching model,laying a foundation for future research.Secondly,using methods such as questionnaire survey and field interviews,the author conducted a survey of the teaching status and students’ learning situation of "Basic Accounting" in A secondary vocational school,and found that under the current teaching method,students have problems such as blocked accounting thinking,lack of learning motivation,and derailment of theory and practice.Based on this,the author proposed the necessity of introducing the PBL teaching model.Thirdly,referring to Barrows’ five step model,the teaching process of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools under the PBL teaching mode is designed,mainly including six steps,designing problems,proposing problems,analyzing problems,solving problems,deepening problems and reflecting on problems.The specific teaching design is carried out using the "Red-Ink Entry" as an example.Finally,based on the design,teaching practice is conducted,and the teaching effectiveness of the PBL teaching model is tested using student questionnaires,classroom observation and analysis of student performance before and after the practice.Based on this,the teaching process is reflected,and further suggestions for improvement are proposed.It has been proven that the PBL teaching model can promote the development of students’ thinking,improve learning motivation,and improve the level of knowledge and skills.The main value of this paper is that it can make up for the lack of research of PBL teaching model in the field of secondary vocational accounting to a certain extent,enrich the theoretical system of secondary vocational accounting teaching and the applied research content of PBL teaching model,but also a beneficial exploration of the accounting teaching reform.Through this study,the author hopes to explore a teaching model that matches the accounting curriculum in secondary vocational schools,promote the reform and development of accounting teaching in secondary vocational schools,and better cultivate high-quality workers and specialized talents required for social and economic development.This is also the innovation and significance of this study.
