Senior high school study tour is a practice-based teaching method.Students can better understand and master geographical knowledge and improve their geography practice ability and comprehensive quality by going out of the classroom and participating in field investigation and practical activities in person,combining with the learning content of geography.Under the requirements of college entrance examination reform and quality education,carrying out geography study tour in senior high school plays an important role in expanding students’ knowledge,cultivating students’ innovative thinking and promoting students’ growth and development.In order to deeply explore the development of high school geography practice ability training and study tour,this study summarizes the relevant research results of experts and scholars at home and abroad,and refines the concepts and theoretical core connotation involved in the study.Using the methods of literature research,investigation and analysis,this paper analyzes and explores the development of geography practical ability cultivation and research travel in senior high schools,and explores and analyzes the design principles,design basis,basic steps,and evaluation of research travel plans.Multiple factors need to be considered in the design of senior high school research travel plans based on the cultivation of geography practice ability.In principle,it includes basic,targeted,scientific,and complete aspects of geography.From the perspective of design basis,it must comply with high school geography curriculum standards and the content of high school geography textbooks.At the same time,it must be combined with the actual situation of teachers and students,taking into account the actual needs and characteristics of students.The basic steps of designing a research travel plan can be divided into three stages: preliminary preparation,core tasks,and presenting a blueprint.Through the specific operations of each stage,a more complete and operable research travel plan is ultimately formed.Based on the local geographical resources and the actual conditions for research and study in Datong,this study designed the implementation plan of the Jinhua Palace National Mining Park and Datong Huanghua Research and Study Travel,and conducted in-depth analysis and summary of these two cases.These case designs can provide teachers with reference on the design and implementation of research programs,help guide students to understand the characteristics of local natural geography and human geography,feel the knowledge of geological landforms,historical culture,industrial technology and other aspects,and cultivate their practical ability and comprehensive quality.
