The relationship between children with leukemia and their parents as caregivers plays a key role in medical practice. Both existing research and practical experience indicate that the relationship between children with leukemia and their parents is not always stable, and there may even be alienation and estrangement, which has a negative impact on the treatment and rehabilitation of the disease.Based on this background, this study, from the perspective of philosophical hermeneutics, regards the nature of the relationship between children with leukemia and their parents as a dynamic communication process in which both parties jointly understand the objective fact that they are suffering from leukemia.Using the narrative of pain from the subjective perspective as a medium, this article explores the daily life world of 12 families of leukemia children in the Hematology and Oncology Department of Z Hospital,W City,Hubei Province, analyzes the specific visual differences between leukemia children and their parents, and proposes a practical path for the fusion of the visual fields of leukemia children and their parents under the guidance of the inter-subjective theoretical perspective.Research has found that children with leukemia and their parents interpret the objective event of leukemia in different ways within their respective visual thresholds. For children with leukemia, the pain narrative from the subjective perspective presents a developmental trajectory of "life disorder-order reconstruction-self exploration",constituting a daily life landscape with the theme of "self-development".The sudden onset of disease has broken the "constant" order of the child in the past,so the process of treatment is accompanied by the reconstruction of the order of the subject. This experience also makes the child pay more attention to the life issues of individual identity and life development; For parents of children with leukemia, their pain narratives exhibit a process of "hopelessness, helplessness, struggle, and anxiety",forming a picture of the daily life world with the clue of "curing the disease".A child’s diagnosis of leukemia is a major crisis and stress event for any parent. To help their children, survive as much as possible, they make every effort to give full play to their own initiative to extend their child’s life. This process is undoubtedly full of hardships and struggles.Further analysis of the differences in visual thresholds between children and their parents shows that the visual thresholds of leukemia children take daily events as a reference frame, maintaining balance as a driving force, and reconstructing meaning as a foothold. The parental visual threshold of children with leukemia is based on medical knowledge as a reference frame, paternalism as a driving force, and physiological reduction as a foothold. The differences in the visual threshold between children with leukemia and their parents have resulted in conflicting expectations,one-way information transmission, and skewed discourse status in the process of communication, making the understandingbased relationship between children and their parents increasingly blurred and alienated.Children with leukemia and their parents should reach a kind of inter subjective interaction.Through promoting equal dialogue between children and their parents, enhancing emotional integration within the family of children with leukemia, and improving empathy between children and their parents, they can achieve the fusion of their vision, promote a mutual, shared, and symbiotic inter subjective relationship, and promote positive progress in leukemia treatment and rehabilitation.
