| With the changes of the times,the Chinese government has made much account of traditional culture and the new curriculum standards have been implemented.Accordingly,the“state-compiled textbook” has adjusted its content and added a certain amount of classic works of ancient poetry and prose.Most of them are from the prose of pre-Qin scholars,which is the essence of fine traditional Chinese culture and an important part of the “state-compiled textbook”for high school Chinese.It plays a critical role in improving students’ knowledge and personality with its richness of thought.In order to maximize the pedagogical value of the prose in the“state-compiled textbook”,this thesis analyses selections of the prose from various aspects,takes the “state-compiled textbook” for high school Chinese as the basis and discusses the pedagogical value of the prose in high schools.Also,this thesis uses questionnaires to know the current teaching and learning situation of the prose in high schools and explores improvement strategies for making good use of the new textbook.This thesis can be divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.It begins with the background and the significance of the study and is followed by a summary of the relevant literature.Finally,this thesis describes the research methodology.The second part is an overview of the prose of pre-Qin scholars in the “state-compiled textbook” for high school Chinese.This part focuses on three aspects.Firstly,it explains relevant concepts.The second aspect emphasizes on the selection of the prose of pre-Qin scholars from four perspectives: quantity,style,sources and arrangement.The third aspect pays attention to the unique pedagogical value of the prose in high school.The third part discusses the current situation and problems in the teaching of the prose of pre-Qin scholars in the “state-compiled textbook”.Taking teachers and students as survey objects,a questionnaire survey about teaching and learning situation of the prose was conducted.Based on the results of the survey,problems in the teaching process can be identified and reasons of them can be found.The fourth part proposes improvement strategies for teaching the prose of pre-Qin scholars in the “state-compiled textbook” for high school Chinese.Based on the research in previous parts,this part presents the strategies in three stages: preparation,during-class and after-class.In the preparation stage,this thesis focuses on three aspects: improvement of teachers’ knowledge,optimization of teaching preparation and guidance of pre-class study;During class,three teaching strategies can be adopted: creating humanistic situations,emphasizing recitation teaching and making use of argumentative techniques;After class,two aspects should be highlighted: teachers should encourage students to expand extracurricular reading and carry out activities to explore the culture of pre-Qin scholars.The fifth part is about the teaching design of the “state-compiled textbook” of the prose for high school Chinese.Based on the teaching strategies proposed in previous parts and The Five-bushel Gourd as an example,a teaching plan for the prose of pre-Qin scholars is designed to apply into the actual teaching process. |
