Approaches to learning refers to children’s learning attitude,habits,style,etc.It is a kind of psychological quality presented by children in the process of learning activities,which could influence the learning effect.The Guide to Learning and Development for Children aged 3-6 emphasizes the importance of the cultivation of children’s approaches to learning.And the Guiding Opinions on Vigorously promoting the scientific connection between kindergartens and primary schools put forward the requirements of comprehensively promoting the implementation of school preparation and school adaptation education in kindergartens and primary schools.Approaches to learning is an important quality for school readiness.Project Based Learning(PBL)of Kindergarten-primary transition takes children’s interests as the starting point and emphasizes inquiry learning as an important means of improving approaches to learning.Therefore,this study was conducted with the expectation of conducting action research through the PBL of Kindergarten-primary transition to explore effective strategies to improve children’s learning quality.In this study,36 kindergarten children from Kindergarten J were selected as the research subjects,and data were collected using the action research paradigm with observation,interview,and case study methods.Through the preliminary survey,this study found that there is still more potential to improving approaches to learning of children,and there are shortcomings in teachers’ knowledge and implementation of approaches to learning and PBL for young children.There are three rounds of action research,each round of action is promoted by the process of planning,action,investigation and reflection,and takes the PBL of Kindergarten-primary transition as the starting point,promoting children’s curiosity and learning interest,initiative,persistence and concentration,imagination and creativity,reflection and interpretation in the action,and improving the approaches to learning of kindergarten children.The results showed that the PBL of Kindergarten-primary transition to improve the approaches to learning achieved good results,and children’s approaches to learning were improved to different degrees in the curiosity and learning interest,initiative,persistence and concentration,imagination and creativity,and reflection and interpretation dimensions.In summary,this study proposed educational recommendations to enhance approaches to learning of children in the PBL of Kindergarten-primary transition.First of all,use the PBL activities as the carrier to promote the approaches to learning of young children.Secondly,based on the perspective of children,improve the approaches to learning of young children..Finally,create a learning ecology and enhance the approaches to learning of young children.
