Currently,the integration of mathematics and daily life is becoming increasingly close,and students’ mathematical modeling ability plays a pivotal role throughout their learning process.It is crucial to cultivate their mathematical modeling concepts and enable them to understand and master mathematical modeling methods in the junior high school stage.Therefore,how to apply mathematical modeling teaching methods more scientifically and effectively has become a widely discussed topic among frontline mathematics teachers and educational theorists.Based on in-depth studies of mathematical modeling knowledge and mathematics teaching methods,this article focuses on enhancing the modeling ability of junior high school students,and explores key issues,combined with relevant information.The research methods used in this paper mainly include literature research and survey research,on which the design of teaching to cultivate junior high school students’ mathematical modeling concepts is based.This paper mainly focuses on the following three aspects:(1)By using existing literature on mathematical modeling ability and mathematics curriculum standards both domestically and abroad,this paper sorts and classifies them to construct mathematical modeling teaching suitable for the junior high school stage.(2)Based on the principles of basic model design and mathematical modeling ability cultivation design,combined with the characteristics of mathematics as a subject and mathematics curriculum standards,this paper designs the teaching of mathematical modeling ability cultivation.(3)Based on the existing data,this paper conducts survey analysis and proposes strategies for improving the mathematical modeling ability of junior high school students,such as understanding the connotation of mathematical modeling literacy and enriching the teaching model of mathematical modeling courses.As a result of the smooth and effective implementation of the above research,this paper has achieved the following research results:(1)This study has significant positive implications for addressing the abstract and convoluted aspects of teaching content for mathematical modeling,making the teaching process smoother and more perfect.(2)Combining the principles and basis of teaching design,this paper has designed mathematical modeling teaching and detailed the tasks that both teachers and students should complete,facilitating frontline teachers’ teaching.
