Research On The Impact Of Industrial Structure Optimization On High-quality Economic Development In Ethnic Areas

Promoting high-quality development is an unavoidable requirement for building an all-around socialist modernization country.The high-quality economic development of ethnic minority regions is the key to building a comprehensive socialist modern power.Although the economic development of ethnic minority provinces is slightly slower,they have very rich natural resources and very unique cultural and historical resources.However,the development of ethnic areas in the past has caused great damage to the ecological environment.To achieve high-quality economic development in ethnic areas,the industrial structure must be transformed.To begin,this paper summarises the past research literature on industrial restructuring and upgrading and high quality economic development,defining what is meant by industrial restructuring and high quality economic development,selects measurement methods for related indicators,and sorts out the relevant theoretical basis and mechanism.Second,the process of industrial structure evolution is investigated and analyzed by region,as is the status quo of industrial structure upgrading and rationalization,and the status quo of high-quality economic development in minority areas.Finally,the panel data of 41 major cities in 7provinces in ethnic minority areas from 2010 to 2019 are selected,and the fixed effect model is constructed by using measurement software for empirical test.The impact of industrial structure optimization on high-quality regional economic development is studied from both the whole and sub-regions of ethnic minority areas.The following conclusions are based on theoretical and empirical study findings: First,the overall industrial structure reform speed of ethnic minority areas is slightly behind the overall national level.Western ethnic minority areas have a slightly greater proportion of primary industry than central ethnic minority areas.In the early stage of industrial structure evolution,the proportion of secondary industry in central ethnic minority areas is slightly greater than in western ethnic minority areas,and slightly lower in the later stage.The proportion of tertiary industry in the central minority areas was slightly higher than that in the western minority areas at first,but later it was surpassed by the western minority areas.Second,although the overall industrial upgrading process in minority areas fluctuated slightly,it still showed an upward trend.The industrial upgrading process in central minority areas slightly lagged behind the overall development trend of minority areas,while the industrial upgrading process in western minority areas basically maintained the same development trend with the overall development trend of minority areas.Thirdly,the industrial rationalization process in the ethnic areas is still on the rise.The development process of the central ethnic areas fluctuates greatly,while the industrial rationalization in the western minority areas is higher than that in the central minority areas.Fourthly,although the high-quality economic development of minority areas has fluctuated somewhat,the overall development trend is vigorous.Fifth,the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure greatly promoted the improvement of regional economy’s high-quality development level,but the influence of industrial structure optimization on regional economy’s high-quality development level is regionally heterogeneous.Sixth,there are differences in the role of relevant control variables in the process of influence in different ethnic regions.Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical results,the following five suggestions are put forward: first,promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure according to local conditions,and build regional characteristic industries;Second,strengthen the industrial linkage of minority areas and realize the effective integration of resources;Third,emphasize and strengthen the development of the tertiary industry,and steadily raise the proportion of the service industry;Fourth,We should encourage scientific and technological innovation,as well as the growth of high-tech industries and the digital economy.Fifth,We must raise awareness of green development among residents and businesses.
