| The report to the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stressed that creating a favorable environment for the growth of small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises(SMEs)and promoting the deep integration of the industrial chain of innovation, capital, and human resources are of great significance to China’s continuous shaping of new advantages for development.SMEs with high technology and strong innovation capability are an important force to enhance the national capacity for scientific and technological innovation and promote industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality development. To implement the new development concept,SMEs have the characteristics of small scale, less capital investment, lack of technical resources and weak ability to resist risks compared with large science and technology enterprises. Therefore, the development of SMEs needs to pay more attention to the linkage of internal and external resources, namely open innovation.Open innovation can provide more sources of innovative knowledge for SMEs,so they can obtain resources from outside more widely,as well as carrying out collaborative innovation development in combination with their own internal development needs. In the era of knowledge economy, core knowledge is the source of continuous innovation and development. For small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises with knowledge-intensive characteristics, the effective acquisition and utilization of knowledge is very important. Therefore, this paper attempts to introduce knowledge sharing as an intermediary variable to analyze the influence of knowledge resources on innovation ability of SMEs.Based on the above, the paper focuses on domestic SMEs,which collects first-hand data through interviews and questionnaires,as well as using empirical methods to build a theoretical model, with a view to further enrich relevant theories of open innovation, providing a good quantitative basis to help enterprises make decisions, and guiding SMEs to improve ability more scientifically. This paper first reviews the theory of open innovation, knowledge sharing, collaborative innovation ability, governance mechanism, and SMEs.Then it establishes a theoretical model of open innovation-knowledge sharing-collaborative innovation ability and proposes research hypotheses. Then, the questionnaire was designed and distributed based on the suggestions obtained from the expert interviews. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows: 1)The breadth and depth of open innovation have a significant positive effect on the collaborative innovation ability of small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises;2)The breadth and depth of open innovation have a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing;3)Knowledge sharing plays a partial mediating role between the breadth and depth of open innovation and the collaborative innovation ability of small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises;4)Governance mechanism does not play a moderating role between the breadth of open innovation and knowledge sharing;5)Governance mechanism plays a significant negative moderating role between the depth of open innovation and knowledge sharing.SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 were used to test the reliability, validity and correlation of the questionnaire data. Then regression analysis was used to test the hypothesisTherefore, the management enlightenment is as follows: 1)Improve the level of open innovation, broaden the breadth of innovation, and carry out in-depth cooperation;2)Improve the collaborative innovation mechanism and promote the development of collaborative innovation;3)Build a knowledge sharing mechanism and governance mechanism conducive to the innovation of small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises. This paper is of great practical and theoretical significance for small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises to further enhance their collaborative innovation ability. |
