The Effect Of Peasant Household Capital Endowment Heterogeneity On Agricultural Production Efficiency

Agriculture plays an important role of "ballast stone" in the stable development of economy.Promoting the transformation of agricultural modernization and improving the efficiency of agricultural production are the key to achieve high-quality development of agriculture.However,farmers,as the main body of agricultural production,have many limitations in improving their production efficiency.Firstly,it is difficult to form large-scale land management.Although farmers are equipped with modern equipment,it is difficult to improve agricultural production efficiency due to the lack of appropriate land scale.Secondly,with the break of urban-rural dual system,high-quality production factors of peasant households gradually transfer to urban and non-agricultural sectors under the role of capital profit,leading to the problems of small,weak and scattered factors used by peasant households in agricultural production.All kinds of problems objectively reflect the insufficient accumulation of farmers’ capital endowment,which restricts the improvement of production efficiency.It is of farreaching significance to study the influence of peasant household capital endowment on agricultural production efficiency for promoting agricultural production modernization and realizing agricultural high-quality development.Based on this,this paper first examines the impact of farmers’ capital endowment on agricultural production efficiency.Secondly,it discusses the specific action path of capital endowment on agricultural production efficiency,so as to find the specific path to improve the level of farmers’ capital endowment to promote agricultural production efficiency.Based on 55 village data and 1664 household data in Guanzhong,Shaanxi Province,this paper explores the impact of household capital endowment on production efficiency and its specific mechanism from the two levels of household and village.Firstly,the paper measures the capital endowment of farmers and the efficiency of agricultural production,and studies the impact of the capital endowment of farmers on the efficiency of agricultural production;Secondly,a mediating effect model was constructed to study the direct impact of farmers’ capital endowment on agricultural production efficiency and the indirect impact through agricultural socialized service,taking agricultural socialization service as the mediating variable;Thirdly,it analyzes the mechanism of reducing transaction cost for collective.Taking proactive collectives at the village level as the moderating variable,the interaction term between proactive collectives and agricultural socialized services was constructed,and the moderating effect of the socialized services on agricultural production efficiency was studied;Finally,according to the research conclusions,suggestions were put forward to promote the improvement of agricultural production efficiency by improving the capital endowment level of farmers,promoting the adoption of socialized services by farmers and encouraging collective action.The research shows that farmers’ capital endowment has a significant impact on agricultural production efficiency,and socialized service can alleviate the constraint effect of capital endowment,so as to further influence farmers’ adoption of socialized service by reducing the transaction cost of service process.The specific conclusions are as follows:(1)The level of agricultural production efficiency of farmers is low,and there are differences in characteristics;The capital endowment of peasant households significantly affected the agricultural production efficiency,and showed an inverted "U" shape.On the whole,the primary term sign of capital endowment to agricultural production efficiency is positive,and the square term sign is negative;From the perspective of endowment,the influence of natural capital and social capital on agricultural production efficiency is also inverted U-shaped,while the influence of human capital and economic capital on agricultural production efficiency is not significant.(2)The mechanism of socialized service in the relationship between peasant household capital endowment and agricultural production efficiency:the level of peasant household capital endowment influences the adoption of socialized service,which promotes the improvement of agricultural production efficiency by introducing modern production factors,and plays an intermediary role in the relationship between peasant household capital endowment and agricultural production efficiency.(3)Promising collective has a significant impact on agricultural production efficiency.The intervention of the village collective in the search of trade information and in the negotiation of trade plays a moderating role in the influence of socialized service on agricultural production efficiency;Village collective intervention in transaction supervision as a direct impact on agricultural production efficiency.Based on the conclusion of this paper,this paper proposes to improve the level of farmers’ capital endowment;Improve the level of social service,enhance the ability of social service subject;Give full play to the role of village collectives,take multiple measures to improve the level of farmers’ capital endowment and other policy suggestions.
