Study On Logistics Mode Selection Of Cross-border E-commerce Enterprises In Henan Province

In the context of the deep integration of international networks and the economy,cross-border e-commerce centered around the internet is gradually receiving attention.Since2020,Zhengzhou Customs has been working hard to solve the adverse factors brought by the COVID-19 to international trade.With the help of the establishment of the free trade zone,it has promoted the optimization of China’s international trade in logistics,warehousing,customs clearance and other links,and improved the overall level of China’s international trade.As of the end of November 2022,the annual import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce in Henan Province has reached 610 million yuan,an increase of 191.2%compared to the same period last year,and the cross-border transaction volume has reached a new peak.As the terminal link of cross-border e-commerce transactions,cross-border logistics plays a crucial role in the entire cross-border transaction.However,due to the complex terrain,the development of cross-border logistics in Henan Province is slow,and cooperation with cross-border e-commerce is difficult.There is a lack of trade platforms and logistics professionals.With the rapid development of the e-commerce industry,cross-border logistics has become an important component of cross-border trade activities.The direct interaction between cross-border e-commerce sellers and cross-border consumers before receiving goods,namely cross-border logistics,has a direct and profound impact on the consumption experience of cross-border consumers.Therefore,how to effectively enhance the cross-border logistics capabilities of cross-border e-commerce enterprises has become an urgent and important issue to be solved.For cross-border e-commerce enterprises,choosing a suitable cross-border logistics model can not only effectively reduce costs,but also improve operational efficiency.This is an important issue that requires careful consideration.This study used the method of literature research to divide the cross-border logistics methods in Henan Province into four categories: postal parcels,international express,foreign warehousing,and specialized logistics.An analysis was conducted on the logistics market environment,product characteristics,and other aspects.From four aspects,logistics costs and logistics service capabilities,seven factors that have a significant impact on cross-border logistics methods were identified.A survey of practitioners in the cross-border e-commerce industry was conducted in Henan Province,and the selection of cross-border logistics methods by multinational e-commerce companies was collected through questionnaires.The multi value set qualitative comparative analysis method(mvQCA)was used to obtain the relationship between the sufficiency and necessity of the selected conditional variables and different outcome variables.Through the study of the combination of influencing factors and paths for cross-border e-commerce enterprise logistics mode selection,it was found that the prerequisite for selecting postal package methods is a cross-border logistics cost budget of500000 to 5 million yuan,a logistics time limit of 7-30 days,and a logistics time limit of 3days for selecting overseas warehouse methods,And the company’s logistics service capabilities are good,and the premise for choosing dedicated logistics is B2 B cross-border e-commerce,with a logistics time limit of 3-7 days,and both are met.In addition to international express delivery methods,the selection of the other three cross-border logistics methods also has corresponding typical impacts.This research result can provide a certain theoretical basis for cross-border e-commerce companies in Henan Province to choose appropriate cross-border logistics methods.On the basis of this study,the author proposes countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing the cross-border logistics model in Henan Province from the perspectives of enterprises and the government: from the perspective of enterprises,cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Henan Province should share logistics resources,and can choose to carry out talent exchange and cooperation with schools.third-party logistics enterprises in Henan Province should improve service quality and upgrade to fourth party logistics;From the government’s perspective,the Henan Provincial Government can increase policy support for the cross-border e-commerce industry,strengthen supervision of logistics service related departments,and strengthen infrastructure construction in the central and western regions.
