Research On Optimization Of Cross Border Logistics Costs For Company A

In recent years,the scope of cross-border e-commerce transactions has been gradually expanding,with the market coverage continuously extending.Owing to its advantages,such as diverse cross-border transaction modes,diversified cross-border markets,and promoting supply-side structural reforms,cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a new impetus in driving the growth of foreign trade.Despite the rapid development trajectory maintained by cross-border e-commerce,certain constraints persist in cross-border logistics.The construction of a comprehensive cross-border logistics system to ensure the advancement of cross-border e-commerce has thus become a significant and pressing issue.Continually promoting the development and optimization of cross-border logistics is also an inevitable choice for cross-border ecommerce companies to achieve transformation,upgrading,and sustainable growth.Therefore,this thesis addresses the issue of cross-border logistics cost for Company A,an export e-commerce firm,as a case study.By combining empirical data and constructing a corresponding cost optimization model,it proposes an optimization scheme for the company’s cross-border logistics cost.To conduct a more effective study on cross-border logistics costs and their optimization,the aim is to provide some reference value for Company A and similar enterprises.Current research involving cross-border logistics mainly focuses on macroanalysis and theoretical studies,while applied research is relatively weak.Therefore,combining the actual situation of Company A,this thesis aims to provide a research plan with objective value and optimization significance,to carry out the research on cross-border logistics cost optimization.This thesis comprehensively analyses the current research status and related theories of cross-border e-commerce,cross-border logistics,and cross-border logistics cost optimization and provides an indepth analysis of Company A’s specific situation.Firstly,this thesis introduces the export business and the status of cross-border logistics of Company A,analyzing the problems and causes of its cross-border logistics costs.Secondly,it clarifies the optimization ideas for cross-border logistics,describes the problem,sets research conditions assumptions,and constructs a cost optimization model for Company A’s cross-border logistics.The genetic algorithm is chosen as the solving algorithm for the cost optimization model analysis.Finally,combining relevant data,the model is solved to derive results and optimization effect analysis,verifying the feasibility of the optimization plan and model proposed in this thesis.The study demonstrates that,specific to Company A’s situation,the first leg transportation costs and last mile delivery costs can be optimized through the proposed scheme,thereby achieving the practical goal of reducing cross-border logistics costs.This research carries positive implications for Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises in reducing costs in cross-border logistics,and offers beneficial insights and practical references for managers.
