Research On The Development History Of China's Education Technology

In the information society, Educational Technology has gradually become a global theme of the development in education. In our country, in the late 30s of the last century, it was officially named Audio-Visual Education. In the eighties term "Educational Technology" to be introduced from the USA and the new name has been widely used since then in our country. Educational Technology in China has been developed for almost 80 years since the last century, but the research of Educational Technology development in China has just begun; therefore, it is urgent for us to give a further research into the history of Educational Technology development so as to make clear its developing course. Based on the changes and application of the media in educational technology, the essay derides our country's educational technology development into 3 stages, that is, the embryonic stage of Audio-Visual education, the developing stage of Audio-Visual education and the developing stage of computer network technology. The essay also gives an analysis and discussion to the main content and features of China's educational technology development, considering the world's developing trend of educational technology, the essay puts forward several problems that are worth our attention, namely, two tracks in the history of China's educational technology development, media-centered phenomenon, the popularization and application of educational technology, the construction of educational technology as a branch of learning and the future development of educational technology.
