With the rapid development of the national economy and technology,double action aluminum extrusion press has gradually become the mainstream equipment for aluminum production.As an important part of the double action aluminum extrusion machine,the working state of the manipulator directly affects the production efficiency and quality of the press.This paper is based on the research of 150 MN double action horizontal aluminum extrusion press,and the mechanical structure of the manipulator has been designed and improved,which has decreased the weight of the manipulator;besides,according to the working conditions of the previous equipments,the hydraulic control system of the manipulator has been designed and improved,which has solved the production problems,such as the unsmooth movement and long non-working time in the circulation process of the dummy block,etc.;furthermore,based on the PID control principle,the shuttle motion control has been studied and improved,which has improved the working efficiency of the manipulator.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper compares and analyzes several handling schemes about the dummy block,and the best one has been chosen,and then based on the SolidWorks software,the three-dimensional models of the important parts of the manipulator have been built,and the load calculation and force analysis of the parts are carried out using the software,and the stress and deformation graphs are output.According to the analysis results,the mechanical structure of manipulator is designed and improved.(2)After guiding the three-dimensional models into ANSYS software,the modal analyses of the parts are made,and the natural frequency and vibration mode of the components are attained.Finish the drawing design of the mechanical part after confirming that the strength and stiffness of the mechanical parts meet the requirements.(3)Summarizing the hydraulic problems of using the manipulator existed in the field before,the hydraulic control system of each action mechanism of the manipulator has been analyzed and the design and improvement of the hydraulic system of 150 MN aluminum extrusion press has been completed.(4)According to the action procedure and process requirement of the manipulator,the related control modules and automatic control procedures of the manipulator have been designed.Moreover,according to the PID control principle,the control system of the manipulator has been analyzed and optimized.According to the analysis results,debug the PID parameters on site and complete the setting.In this paper,through the design of mechanical structure,hydraulic system and control system of 150 MN double action aluminum extrusion press manipulator,as well as the improvement of vibration problems in the previous hydraulic system and control system of manipulator,such as the possible drop of clamping spacer,and the shearing knock cushion,good results have been achieved in the field application.This provides reference for the design and debugging of the manipulator in the future.
