The task group of "study of works of foreign writers" is the 11 th task group of "Chinese Curriculum Standard for General High Schools(2017 Edition and 2020Revision)".It is one of the curriculum contents of optional compulsory courses and is very important for the formation of students' Chinese literacy..The purpose of this task group is not to allow students to systematically master the knowledge of foreign literary history,but to guide students to study some foreign classic literary works in depth,to arouse students' interest in reading literary classics of different nationalities in the world,In order to broaden reading horizons,enrich life experience,increase understanding of different national cultures,and develop an open cultural mind.This poses a daunting challenge for teachers to implement and complete the above tasks in limited teaching hours.This article attempts to explore the methods and strategies for accomplishing the above tasks by taking the third unit of the Selective and Compulsory Part 1 of the unified edition of senior high school Chinese textbooks as an example.This paper firstly interprets the teaching objectives of the task group of "study of works of foreign writers" in-depth: vertical comparison with the relevant content of the 2003 edition of the curriculum standard;horizontally with the two related task groups in the unified textbook: "literature" Comparing "Reading and Writing" with "Cross-cultural Symposium",this paper argues that the task group of "study of foreign writers' works" is necessary and not necessary to move from the task group of "literary reading and writing" to the task group of "cross-cultural symposium".Afterwards,according to Professor Wang Rongsheng's theory of text selection type identification,this paper identifies and locates foreign works in the PEP and unified editions of high school Chinese textbooks.The four articles in the third unit undertake the teaching function of "fixing the article",therefore,there are updated and higher requirements on teaching methods and strategies.Therefore,this paper puts forward a teaching strategy based on unit teaching,driven by task group teaching method,guided by scientific process evaluation,and systematically introducing foreign culture as the focus;and put forward the specific teaching implementation process according to teaching needs.,establish a reading resource library,integrate reading resources,clarify study objectives,and coordinate strategies for arranging teaching activities.Finally,taking "Hundred Years of Solitude",which was selected into the textbook for the first time,as an example,the teaching strategy was displayed.
