A Study Of Bank Competitiveness

Based on the theory of enterprise competitiveness and the characteristics of bank, we think bank competitiveness is a system that includes the factor of resources, the factor of capacity and the factor of environment. And then, we discussed the content of the three factors and the relationship of them, and constructed the index system of bank competitiveness, finally, we evaluated the bank competitiveness in Jiangsu and gave some advices of lifting the competitiveness of Jiangsu bank.The study consists of 6 chapters, including the introduction:Chapter 1: It is introduction. Firstly, under the environment of China entering the WTO and the financial reform in China, we thought it is very important that we study bank competitiveness, and we looked back the previous research, and defined the aim of the study. Secondly, we prescribed the subject matter of this study. Thirdly, we posed the method and the frame of this dissertation. Fourthly, we generalized the conclusions of the dissertation. Finally, we referred to some creativeness and defects in this article.Chapter 2: This chapter analyzed the theory of enterprise competitiveness that is the theoretical basis of the article. On the basis of the reviewing on the theory of enterprise competitiveness, we posed the concept of enterprise competitiveness, explained its nature, main factors and the relationship of them.Chapter 3: This section studied on the theory of bank competitiveness, this part is the theoretical center of this dissertation. On the background of the front part of this article, we included the concept of bank competitiveness, and characteristics of bank competitiveness and constructed the frame of bank competitiveness theory.Chapter 4: Based on the theory of enterprise competitiveness this part built the evaluated index system of bank competitiveness.Chapter 5: In this part, we compared the bank competitiveness of 14 banks in Jiangsuaccording to the theory and index system we developed, and found the key factors that influence bank competitiveness.Chapter 6:In this section, we gave some advices of lifting the bank competitiveness. These advices included three parts: firstly, we must excavate the resource power of bank. Secondly, we must improve the comprehensive capacity of bank. Thirdly, we must construct the environment favorable to bank developing.The preliminary conclusions of this study are:1. The article included the concept of bank competitiveness. It is that, in the competitive environment, following the principle of safety, liquidity and profit, bank makes good use of its resources and provides suitable services, for example, the deposits, the loans, the setting accounts and the information consulting services ect, in order to develop sustainable in market competition.2. Bank competitiveness is a comprehensive system that includes the factor of resources, the factor of capacity and the factor of environment. In this system> the factor of resources is the base , the factor of capacity is the nucleus , and the factor of environment is the background, these factors have relation each other. In detail, the factor of resources contains material resources - human resources and intangible resources. The factor of capacity can be decomposed into the ability of making pro fit?the ability of risk management and the ability of developing. The factor of envkonment includes micro-environment and macro-environment.3. From high to low, the bank competitiveness of the four state-owned banks in jiangsu is Agricultural Bank of China?Bank of China ^ China Construction Bank of China and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.4.
