In the 21st century when is characterized by knowledge and information, enterprises are faced with unprecedented survival crisis. Chinese enterprises in the stage of transition and during re-entry into WTO are put under dual pressures. Scholars and entrepreneurs both at home and abroad are striving to seek for an effective path of corporate survival and growth. The research on corporate adaptive growth is a pioneer attempt made for enterprises' adaptive survival and sustained growth. First, this thesis introduces in and defines 3 basic concepts - adaptability, corporate adaptability and corporate adaptive growth. Then, it analyses and proves the following basic propositions: an enterprise is a special organism with human volitions; an enterprise's environment is an ecological system; an enterprise's organization is a complex self-adapted system; an enterprise survives to realize its values; As an organism, an enterprise has the likelihood of adaptive growth. On the basis of Comprehensively appraising the oriental management philosophy, complexity science, self-organizational theory and environment-adapted theory, the thesis points out that the surroundings of enterprise are more complex, more variable than that of ever and communicate each other more frequently. Enterprise as an organism has to co-evolve with its environment more harmoniously. It defines the connotations and functions of corporate culture and analyses the culture of successful enterprises and those defeated, holds that the culture of adaptive growth is an ecological system of culture made up of ethic ones, adaptive ones, speed ones, creative ones and learning ones. This thesis constructs the theoretical paradigm and operational mechanism. It explains the process of corporate adaptive growth, and expounds the positing theory of niche and marketing selection during the course of corporate adaptive growth. From different angels of relative learning theories, it constructs the organizational learning model of corporate adaptive growth. The thesis also thinks that the corporate adaptive growth mechanism is the key system to let the organization co-evolve with its environment. To begin from the mechanism, it sets up that the operational mechanism of adaptive growth is mixed by sense-mechanism, response-mechanism and sustainable one. This thesis analyses seriously those common "defeated genes" taken by those defeated companies that are all lack of morality and showing love to others, they have little respect to order and law and they are all short of professional spirits. Finally, the thesis sets up three principles of corporate adaptive growth on the condition of paradigm. They are the principle of sufficient openness, the principle of connecting incremental change with mutation and the principle of balancing qualitative and quantitative growth, and on the basis of the foremost, it creates an operation mechanism model for the corporate adaptive growth and positively has a research on the typical enterprise Huawei.
