Research Of City's Sustainable Development Based On Symbiosis Theory

A great social and economic change is going on in China nowadays, that's is---urbanization. A great many people and procreative elements get together to city constantly,which make cities play more and more role in China. With the development of science andtechnology and progress of productivity, rural structure are becoming more and more complexand their coupling is becoming more and more compact, which get city a huge system. Only tobuilt up a kind of symbiotic idea among subsystems of city, can we actualize sustainabledevelopment of city and guarantee people in the city enjoy urban physical and spiritualcivilization, then urbanization can advance with lager scale and higher quality in this newcentury. How can we realize this kind of symbiotic relation, especially how can we scale thelevel of symbiosis, how to create the suitable economic and institutional environment,innovate fashion of city's management—that are the key problems for our nation to revive anddevelop in the 21st century. This paper is of great theoretical and practical significance to a lot of relative fields, suchas the development of city in harmony, drawing the city planning, boosting the citymanagement, improving city function, reducing the disparities among regions, as well asurban-rural disparities, accelerating urbanization and boosting the core competence of cities. Based on a review of the research work and status quo on city's sustainable development,it is presented the background, purpose and significance for this paper, and brings forward themethod for studying city's sustainable development from symbiosis. This paper comes up with the connotation of city's sustainable development. Afterintroducing the theory of symbiosis and city's characteristics resumptively, revealing theessential goal of city's sustainable development is man's all-sided development and radicalmechanism of sustainable development is symbiotic mechanism. By analyzing the gamerelation among humans and cities, proving that to establish the symbiotic relation ofsubsystems in cities, the participation of all citizens and institutional prompting by central andlocal city's government is necessary. Using the symbiosis theory and system theory, the process of city's sustainabledevelopment is illustrated. By studying the symbiotic conditions of city system, the paperdraws the conclusion that the relation of subsystems in city accord with symbiosis, then, therural symbiotic system is set up. By studying on the historical and current situation of indexes for city's sustainabledevelopment, it presents some typical samples and brings forward the ways of evaluationindexes for city's sustainable development, that's evaluation indexes should be chosen fromcharacteristic face including first, second and the third characteristic face, which showsdifferent demand of city's sustainable development, and then, puts up with the system ofindexes for evaluating rural symbiotic system's sustainable development. After analyzing thecontents of evaluation for rural symbiotic system, it puts forward the evaluation model of leveland capability of rural symbiotic system sustainable development. To guarantee the realization of city's sustainable development, it studies the measures andmakes some suggestions. According to symbiosis theory, it analyzes symbiotic environment,mode and units, pointing out that there are some problems in them, such as economic system,directorial system and levity of symbiotic mode and so on.
