Since the reform and opening-up, especially from 1990s, the economy of China is keeping on high-speedly growthing. In 2002, the GDP of China reached 1,233.7 Billion U.S.dollors, and the market scale of domestic consumption demand was 492.8 Billion U.S.dollors. China has become one of the largest consumption demand markets in the world. With the economy repidly expanding and the market further opening-up, the market scale of domestic consumption demand of China will be continuly extending. The economy of Korea including the distribution enterprisess has been facing hugly adjusting pressure since the Asia fanace crsis occurred in 1998. In order to break away from the plight, the Korean distribution enterprisess not only should adjust the industrials structure, improve the industrials efficiency, but also should actively take part in the international specialization, and fully utilize the domestic and foreign markets to optimize its resource allocation. Undoubtly, entering into the domestic consumption market of China would bring huge business chance to the Korean distribution enterprisess. However, because the market environment and economic institution have been changing hugely in China, Korean distribution enterprises are lack of knowing China's market. And other hand, with the famous worldwide distribution enterprisess entering into China, the distribution market would be more and more competitive. It is a large challenge for the Korean distribution enterprisess that how to integrate its capital advantage, technology advantage and management advantage with the chinese market and low cost advantage so as to sucessfully enter into the Chinese distribution market and earn more benefit. Based on the background of above, the investment strategies for the Korean distribution enterprisess entering into the domestic consumption market of China are analysed. Firstly, we review and recommand the theories and empirical studies of the foreign direct investment. Through reviewing the industrial structure theory, the internalization theory and the eclectic theory, we point out the using scope and shortcomes of above theories, and submit the theory basis of this study. The industrial structure theory provides the theory evidence for the study why Korean distribution enterprisess increasing invest in China and shriking investment to other countries. The internalization theory is the basis of investment strategies of Korean distribution enterprises. The eclectic theory can explain the motivation and types of Korean distribution enterprises entering into China. Througn sumarrize a number of empirical studies, we think that motivation of FDI is to control the foreign enterprises, which is different with stock investment and merge and acquisition investment. FDI is a package of capital, technology and management, which is not only is export of capital, but also is export of enterprises. And then, we analysis the characteristics and types of investment from Korea to China, the evolvement of Korean distribution industrial and its change of structure in recent years, the development history of China distribution market and some revlent regulation and investment environment in China. We think, Korean enterprises should be cautious to deal with the institution of China. Then, we analysis some cases of chinese and foreign enterprises entering into China distribution market refering to some relevant foreign enterprises investment situation and process in China, standing our some new views and provide some experiences for the Korean enterprises which plan to enter into China distribution market. Finally, the strategical investment approaches for Korean enterprises entering into china distribution market are submitted, including marketing strategy, industrial strategy, area strategy, location strategy, demand strategy, price strategy, locationliztion strategy, technology strategy and innovation strategy.
