With the development of social economy, the differentiation of vocations and the increasing demands on technical content and professional level, a large number of high-level professionals are needed. In order to meet the demand, more and more students for professional master degree are admitted. It becomes an important task for current graduate education to cultivate high-level applied talents in China. Mater of Sport is a professional degree which has an objective to cultivate high-level talents in sport. Under augmentation of the enrollment scale of the professional graduate education, guarantee the teaching quality has significant meaning in promoting the development of professional graduate education with a well and quickly rapid.Based on the theory of Total Quality Management and with the current status of teaching in Master of Sport, from the view of assurance system, the teaching quality assurance of professional master degree were studied by literature method, investigation method, case analysis method, and statistics method. This dissertation includes the following three parts.Firstly, the dissertation discussed the total quality management theory and analyzed the meaning of Master of Sport. It means Master of Sport is a professional degree with an objective to cultivate high-level talents in sport. Under the guidance of the target quality, it gives a definition on teaching quality of Master of Sport. It means the teaching or the degree of the teaching result, i.e. student's knowledge, skills and values, fulfilling teaching target system stipulated standard. In the guidance of total quality management theory, it then explores that the teaching quality assurance is the result of interaction between internal and external mechanism.Secondly, it analyzed the external teaching quality assurance system on the Master of Sport; the analysis was stated from two aspects of the cultivation qualifications and the assessment of cultivation level. Then it put forward the authentication and the degree authorization audit systems were important for qualification assurance, for it guaranteed the quality of the teaching elements effectively. The benchmark evaluation, the level evaluation and the subject ranking are the other important system for continually ensuring and improving the quality of teaching.Finally, it analyzed the features of postgraduate teaching for Master of Sport in such aspects:teaching methods, teaching contents, teachers and teaching conditions and.analyzed the factors affecting the quality of teaching in the teaching process. Then based on the survey of current status of teaching in Master of Sport, six factors were discussed, including teaching objectives, curriculum, teacher and tutor team, students, teaching conditions, teaching feedback. In the end, this dissertation conceives a teaching quality assurance system for Master of Sport, which is consisted by the National Education steering Committee of Master of Sport and the graduate college/department of each specific institute. The former shall formulate unified teaching quality standards, as well as guide and supervise the teaching quality. Combining the current status of postgraduate teaching for Master of Sport, this dissertation gives some suggestions, which conclude establishing a unified education benchmarks for Master of Sport, providing some applied electives, strengthening the teachers'training, paying special attention to supervision on the students practice learning and promoting everyone to participate in the construction of school quality culture.
