A Study On The Transformational Development For Higher Education Based On System Science

From the angle of system science and making use of the related theory of compound system and the methods of comparative studies and system analysis, this paper makes an intensive research on problems concerning the transformational development of China's higher education. The research focuses mainly on the following points. 1. On the basis of analyzing the macro background, the current situation and objective of development of China's higher education as well as the results of research on higher education transformation abroad, this paper elaborates on the connotation of higher education transformational development and works out a framework of a diversified higher education system. 2. Using the method of comparative studies, this paper has made an intensive research on the different patterns, courses and features of higher education transformational development in the US, Britain and Japan and has obtained much inspiration which is of universal guiding and referential significance. 3. This paper puts forward four intricate key elements in the formation of the higher education system, i.e. quality, scope, structure and benefit. Having thoroughly analyzed these four elements and their co-relations by way of system analysis, it offers a notional model of coordinate development within the higher educational system. 4. By systematically analyzing the composition and connected relations of the compound "Ed-Ec" system (the compound system of education and economy), this paper sets up patterns of the structure and coordinate development of the compound ED-Ec system during its transformation and offers a method of evaluation based on fuzzy neural net. 5. Using the model of mini-wave neural net, the paper has made a prediction of the strategic objective of the transformational development of China's higher education. And on the basis of analyzing the course and actual condition of China's higher education transformational development, it puts forward a choice of patterns of China's higher education transformational development and a policy to be employed in its enforcement. This paper has offered a new path and method for researching the reform and development of China's higher education, which has an important theoretical significance and practical value for the current transformational development of China's higher education.
