From the perspectives of philosophy, culture, sociology and history, and by using theoretical, comparative research methods and some investigations, this research discusses the issue of the cultural consciousness of curriculum. Its main idea includes ontology, axiology, methodology, and practisology, and it aims at revealing the rules of how curriculum culture takes place and develops, enriching the basic knowledge of curriculum, and meanwhile, giving guidance and directions to present curriculum revolution in China.In the ontology part, based on culture and focusing on curriculum, this research proposes the concept of cultural consciousness of curriculum. It holds that cultural consciousness of curriculum is human 's rational realization of the direction for the curriculum development. And it becomes a kind of human beings' cultural beliefs and norms, then, human beings realize it and put it into practice. From the perspective of culture, it is a rational attitude which human being practice autonomously and pursue actively. Rationality is the essence of the cultural consciousness of curriculum. Cultural consciousness of curriculum defines curriculum's logicality, standardization, and subjectivity on the basis of rational thought. Its essence includes rational thought, rational unification, rational attitude, rational choose and rational objective, to be more specific, it is human beings' cultural consciousness of curriculum, open mind for the culture of curriculum, systematic cultural structure of curriculum, vivid cultural life of curriculum and super-cultural qualities of curriculum, etc.In the cultural axiology part, consciousness of curriculum's tropism of value includes its characteristics, choice and realization. Rationality, mobility, and standardization indicate value characteristics: how to carry out the choice of cultural value of curriculum? This paper proposes; opposition is power, environment is condition, balance is purpose, opportunity is foundation, unification is norm, and tension maintenance is the requirement. Through the return of culture, unification of criterion, the transform of life, and the establishment of subject's rationality, it constructs systematic cultural value of curriculum, and finally realizes the concept of value.In the methodology part, the author holds that the guidance directing curriculum culture to consciousness is to regard Maxims' cultural concept as the basis of methodology, the characteristics of interdisciplinary methodology as coordinate, the research model of the special disciplinary as the practice of the methodology, to construct curriculum culture with Chinese characteristics as the objectives, through the breakthrough of its limitations and exploration of its new model, to hasten the transition from old culture to new one, and to inspire the deconstruction of the old curriculum culture and the construction of the new one, to urge the dispelling of the traditional habits and the reconstruction of the traditional essence, to promote the innovation of the cultural concept of curriculum, the knowledge system, the thinking method, and management system of curriculum culture, and to impel the great revolution of curriculum and the emergence of a new generation. There are three basic methods of the cultural consciousness of curriculum; looking for the root of traditional curriculum culture, understanding the international curriculum culture, creating the domestic curriculum culture, to be more concretely, that is, reflective experiments, regulation controlling, and innovational exceeding.In the part of practisology, the author has inspected the state cultural consciousness, local cultural consciousness of curriculum, and school-orientated cultural consciousness of curriculum. This research presents that the tactics of state cultural consciousness of curriculum is; to guide the curriculum policy of the advanced culture, to establish the overall culture value of curriculum standard, to teach the rich culture of the textbooks, to limit the culture of curriculum management flexibly, to create a new way of performing the conscious culture of the curriculum. Based on the local culture's entity, the author analyzes the features of the local curricular culture, and discusses the local curricular in terms of values, reliance, principles, and procedures, by taking He 'nan as an example and analyzing the practice of cultural consciousness. From the school-orientated cultural property of the curriculum, he analyzes the belief of the value of the school-orientated curriculum in the perspective of the subject and performance, and also combined with the example of "The guidance of cultural consciousness; A research of the art educational curriculum in middle school" , he analyzes the problems of the practice of the school-orientated cultural consciousness.The proposition of the cultural consciousness of curriculum is the summary of the curriculum's historical experiences, the requirement of the curriculum revolution, and the necessity of the present curriculum research, while adhering to it has a great theoretical value and realistic significance on the construction of harmonious curriculum culture and the establishment of development of scientific curriculum value.In order to realizing the cultural consciousness of curriculum, the scientific development view must be hold. At the same time, we need to correctly deal with the relationship of inheriting and innovation, borrowing and critique, and toward to a road of native independently.
