Chinese local records had unprecedented development in the Qing dynasty, which mainly originated from three aspects:the high attention of the imperial and the active advocate of local government, the active participation of gentry and scholar. Yunnan in the Qing dynasty was set up the scaffold for the communicating of culture in terms of the institutions, division of duties, text numbers. The article investigated the problems on the following four aspects:The first, the article would study the number of existing but still stored which was researched of the Qing dynasty Yunnan local records. There were many senior scholars involved in the number of Yunnan local records in the Qing dynasty, but I still continued to explore the number and scope of the Chorography. The author on the basis of the relevant foreign main directory books of the local records, examined the chorography of Yunnan abroad overview of the collection, collated the versions and expounded this value; On the basis of the catalog of China local gazetteers, inspect the existing relevant directory, and connected with the local periodicals published in recent years, the database of the Chorography, the important directory of collection agencies in Yunnan province, etc., then completed the existing the number of chorography; on the basis of "the catalogue prevue of historical materials about Yunnan" which was written by Fang Guoyu, inspected the summary, sequence, postcript etc., researched the number of the local records which were scattered and lost, in order to show more complete text of the chorography of Yunnan in the Qing dynasty.The second, the author groups’materials were investigated the chorography of Yunnan in the Qing dynasty. There were many groups of research results, but the other group to conduct a comprehensive inspection, the author of local officials and gentry, scholars and the unity of three kinds of different identity groups research has yet to see. While thumbing through some of the existing of Yunnan in the Qing dynasty, on the basis of local Chronicles, the author groups.conducted a comprehensive combing; To research its identity, domicile of origin, and repaired the number of the local records, as job titles, etc., according to the status of local officials and gentry, scholars three kinds of the group; Investigated the interaction between each other in the process of compiling local Chronicles. In order to compile for the new interpretation from the perspective of the author groups.The third, the article could parse the author group and why the change of the consciousness of local Chronicles compilation process. The local Chronicles of consciousness was a dynamic process of changing which was the backbone of the full text. Articles about this process could be divided into the passivity, initiative, strengthening three periods. And investigated features in different periods, how were the participation from the three kinds of author groups? The reason of their revision, and then explored the typical local records, for example.
