As an important link and foundation of historical materialism, Marx’s viewpoint of practical humanized nature is based on the critique modern materialism, and it provides a scientific analysis frame for understanding the relation between human and nature. In the opinion of Marx, the actual nature we are living in is a humanized nature which has been transformed by person practice in history, and not the one which had existed before human. It is practical in essence. Marx opposed the abstract viewpoint of nature of materialism which was associated with modern science throughout. In his opinion, abstract materialism is actually idealism. Marx considers that the modern materialism including Feuerbach’s materialism is old materialism, as Marx’s opinion, they cannot treat the nature as practice of subject, and they directly perceive the nature through the senses. Marx considers that the nature which is separated from human, irrespective of human is not the actual nature which we live in. The abstract viewpoint of nature makes old materialism be historical idealism eventually. From Marx’s viewpoint of practical humanized nature, nature which generates from human’s practice is historical nature and social history is the process of human’s transforming nature by practice. So, we can reveal the objective laws governing the development of social history. The relation between human and nature reflects interpersonal relationships, and the essence of conflicting between human and nature only can be demonstrated by interpersonal contradiction. The relation between human and nature is always connected by or in social interrelationship. Although con temporary eco-crisis may be caused by many reasons, the division of social benefit brought by private ownership of the means of production is the essential and deep reason. Actually, either in capitalist society or in socialist society, there must be division of social benefit, so long as private ownership cannot be eliminated. There must be social source which can causes ecological contradiction, and the contradiction may be developed into eco-crisis. To propel socialism ecological civilization under the guidance of the concept of scientific development is not only an active response to eco-diversion in modern society, but is an inevitable choice in the practice of our coping with ecological crisis.
