The Application And Development Of Marx And Engels’s Ecological Thought In Contemporary China

In the process of constructing a new era of ecological civilization, as for establishing what kind of ecological civilization concept, how to establish and improve its system, we need to trace and to study the source of wisdom of the Socialist construction theory of ecological civilization——Ecological thinking of Marx and Engels. under the guidance of dialectical and historical materialism, adhering to the perspective of practice and vision of development, This paper, by way of induction, systematic analysis, shall conduct a comprehensive study of the ecological thinking of Marx and Engels, and comb its essence, connotation and application,enrichment and development in the process of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics. The article will be divided into four parts.The first chapter mainly introduces the main content of Marx and Engels ecological thoughts and ideas.In this dissertation, its logic beginning is considered as the dialectical relationship between men and nature, which is the basis of people-people relationship, and which displays as consistent and eternal material exchange;"practice" perspective is the theory leading throughout its whole ideology, and is the key and foundation of understanding men-nature and men-men relationship; revelation of nature and features of capital became "quest key" of Marx and Engels ecological though, and logic of capital decided that capitalism production damaged rational material exchange between natural environment and people-nature, and that economic crises resulted from capital necessarily raised ecological crisis;" reconciliation of men and nature", and "reconciliation among people" are values orientation and theory, with the former creating a material base for the latter, while the latter providing social premise for the former, i.e "two reconciliations" are mutually dependent, harmonious and unity.The second chapter mainly discusses Marx and Engels ecological thought’s further enriching and developing in contemporary China. On one hand, their ecological thinking provides guidance to China’s socialist modernization construction; on the other hand, China’s socialist modernization construction provides a practical platform and development space for the thinking. Following thought line of Marx and Engels, several generations of CPC leaders Mao Zedong, Deng Xiao-ping, and Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and XI have constantly enriched and developed with the ecological thought in the construction of China with Socialist features:from coordinative development to sustainable development, and then to scientific development; from saving resources, and improving environment to strengthening ecological environment legislation, with the essence of environment protection from productivity protection to construction of resources-saving and environment friendly society; from freedom being realization of necessitarian to coordination among population, resources and environment,then to promotion harmony between man and nature; from innovation to the concept that science and technology are the first productive forces, from relying on science as solutions to environmental issues to attaching importance to scientific and technological innovation, constructing ecological civilization; and so on. These ideas are consistently being deepened and systematized, which has been the foundation and accumulation for ecological civilization construction of socialism theory with Chinese characteristics.The third chapter mainly analysis the ecological problems of contemporary Chinese Using marxist methods. Supposing ecological civilization construction of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics is source of practice, then, China’s current environmental problems and ecological crises shall force ecological civilization as the highest pursuit of social development and progress. Based on sorting out of Chinese contemporary environmental issues and a comprehensive analysis on Marxist ideology and methods, in this article, the current ecological crises in contemporary China are mainly attributed to the following factors:fundamental flaws of traditional industrial thinking, profit-oriented capital logic, negative effects of science and technology, and the partial understanding of economy orientation. The fourth chapter discusses the formation and the significance of the socialist ecological civilization theory. Socialist ecological civilization construction thought has its era background of the formation, it is not only the heritage and development of marxist ecological thought in China, but also the inevitably choice of following the trend of world civilization development; not only the summary of the experiences and lessons of developed countries, but also an important goal of socialist construction with Chinese characteristics. From the party’s16th national congress to the18th national congress, and the development of the ecological civilization construction thought has experienced a process from the preparation of brewing, then initially formed and finally to the science localization. Construction of ecological civilization is the essential requirement of socialism, and socialism provides the system guarantee for ecological civilization construction, and ecological civilization construction of socialism provides a necessary foundation and material conditions.
