Research On Ho Chi Minh International Strategy Thought

International Strategic Thought is an important part of Ho Chi Minh Thought which came into being in a certain history. After the French empire invaded Vietnam and turned it into French colony in19th Century, all the Vietnamese people began to revolt and fight with the French empire bravely. They failed in the end, because they didn’t have a real guideline for revolution.Ho Chi Minh went west to seek for the way to save Vietnam from1911. On one hand, he inherited the cultural traditions in Vietnamese history, especially patriotism, and the cultural essences of other countries around the world. On the other hand, he found the Marxism-Leninism. This is a great turning point in Ho Chi Minh Thought, after which he found the real way to save the country. Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought gradually formed and developed under the guide of Marxism-Leninism. When doing revolution abroad, Ho Chi Minh learnt the Marxism-Leninism and the experience of the Communist International, and wrote Revolutionary Road> in1927, which formulated the revolutionary road and International Strategic Thought based on the Marxism-Leninism. With the spread of the Marxism-Leninism, the revolutionary spirit in Vietnam grew higher and higher, which created the conditions for the birth of the Vietnamese Communist Party. The Vietnamese Communist Party founded in1930and Ho Chi Minh was elected as the supreme leader. Under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese revolution headed for the victory.Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought, which played an important role in the process of revolution, includes rich contents. It has three ideological origins mainly: Vietnamese cultural traditions (especially patriotism), cultural essences of other countries around the world, and the Marxism-Leninism. And the practical origin is what Ho Chi Minh summarized from the revolutionary experience of Vietnam and the Communist International.The fundamental interests of the nation are the main goal put forward by Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought, which came from the Three People’s Principles (national independence, civil liberties and people’s happiness) of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and reflected the ideality of long-time struggle in Vietnamese history. To achieve this objective, Ho Chi Minh wrote in his will that, as a small country, Vietnam was famous for defeating two powerful countries France and America bravely and devoted its force to the national liberation revolution. To seize opportunities in the new age, Ho Chi Minh regarded Vietnamese national liberation revolution as a part of global revolution, and combine national independence with the objective of socialist revolution. Thus, Vietnamese revolution became different from anti-imperialist struggles and movements led by revolutionary predecessors in Vietnamese history. Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought led Vietnamese national liberation revolution into a new stage and laid the foundation for the final victory of revolution.Independence and self-reliance is the special way of thinking in Ho Chi Minh’s politics. The main theory he implements is that everything we do is for the national interests. Still, he has said,"if we want others to help us, we ourselves should do it well first." In the process of revolution, Ho Chi Minh has highly developed the spirit of independence and valued the solidarity and cooperation with other countries around the world as well.To achieve the objective of revolution, Ho Chi Minh advocated developing the national force as the main aspect, and meanwhile he advocated expanding the international relationships and getting the support of other countries as well.Vietnam is a peace-loving nation. To revolt against the invasion of imperialism, the Vietnamese fought bravely. To get the support of progressives worldwide, Ho Chi Minh held the banner of anti-war and peace-loving. In the relationships with other countries around the world, Ho Chi Minh valued the relation not only with the neighboring countries, but also with the powerful countries.After entry into the new age, Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought still brings us something with value of the times, such as "seizing the opportunities","psychological tactic" and so on. As for the economics, Ho Chi Minh insists the matters of principles and he always says that we should cope with the shifting events by sticking to a fundamental principle.In the process of reformation, the Vietnamese Communist Party uses Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought creatively. At the Vietnamese Communist Party congress in2011, under the guide of Ho Chi Minh International Strategic Thought, the Party put forward a new line of foreign affairs.
