The Research On The Cuitivation Of College Student Backbone Groups

The Institutions of Higher Education in China strives to cultivate the successors to the socialism career as an important base of the builders of socialism. The college students are the backbones on this base, who help connect the teachers and students as a bridge and bond to link the two groups together. The quality and capacity of the student backbones is closely connected with the quality the talented cultivated from the college. Their role has been made more prominent since the drastic increase of the number of the students enrolled after colleges in China enlarge the scale of enrolment. Therefore, to cultivate and to organize a group of student backbones carry particular importance. The construction of the team should draw our particular attention, too.This paper relates the student backbone group with the goal of college education, as well as with the creative methods of ideology education in colleges in China. Based on the historical lessons of building student backbone groups, this essay focuses on their experience in this regard both at home and abroad, and further the creative demands of the construction of the team has been put forward. Finally, an attempt to propose a new cultivation mode which fits the group of college student backbones nowadays has been made.This chapter falls into seven chapters:The first chapter summarizes the formulation and analysis of groups of college students and college student backbone groups are conducted. From the definition of groups of college students, and the general characteristics, students’ current situation will be discussed. As for the research of the college student backbone groups, four aspects including the definition, population characteristics, population status and role, the correlation and differences with other groups of students. So at this point, the accurate positioning of the Student Leaders groups mainly include " various types of student leaders at all levels, cadres of student clubs, student party members and party activists, the backbone of the theoretical study and those who have achieved outstanding achievements in the academic science and technology, culture, sports and other fields.The second chapter is mainly concerned about Marxism’s theory on the groups, as well as advanced groups, including a man’s overall development theory, youth theory, human’s socialization theory, successor theory; the generation theory about groups mainly includes the theory of group cohesion, of group conflict and of the role and nurture.In Chapter three, the historical process of the construction of Chinese Student backbone groups has been narrated, their fine tradition is introduced and a profound analysis of problems and issues which are expected to be improved is provided. This chapter ranges from the old democratic revolution, the new-democratic revolution, the17-year construction period, the Cultural Revolution, finally to the socialist modernization construction of the new era. It is believed that the fine tradition of the backbone groups of college students is mainly reflected in the party’s four-generation collective leadership’s highlight on the cultivation of the backbone groups of college students, relating this career to the proletarian revolution successors to the cause, therefore setting the tone for the cultivation of the backbone students. The construction of the group is always adhere to the theory of Marxism as the guiding ideology with in-depth studies and innovations, and always maintaining the advanced nature of the theoretical basis; The construction of students backbone groups has always been under the leadership of Party organizations with intensive and continuous work, and always maintaining the direction of the correctness; the construction of students backbone groups always follow the mass line, for the purpose of serving the people in close contact with the masses, and with the depth of the grass roots, always maintaining a solid construction; the construction of the backbone groups of college students has always been oriented towards youth development, and the times, the construction methods and measures have always kept up closely with the development of times.In Chapter four, a referential study of the construction of the backbone groups in foreign colleges is carried out. Firstly the distribution and characteristics of the backbone groups of foreign college students is introduced, as well as the activity contents and function of the impact of the backbone groups abroad. The focus is to learn from the training mode of the backbone groups of foreign students, i.e. the teaching model combining the theory and the practice, along with the student affairs management model, namely, the specifications and the services combined.Chapter five is an in-depth analysis on the status quo of China’s college students backbone groups, including the backbone of the college students group distribution, such as the nature, structure, layout, types, as well as the organizational distribution and development of abilities of the group; the status quo of Student backbone groups is analyzed from the following four aspects:the quality of mental health, ideological and moral qualities, the quality of the operational capacity, quality of social interaction analysis; the mechanism of college backbone students is accessed from the selection of perspective students, training mode, assessment and supervision system, incentives, security system, etc. As the conclusion, there are four major problems in the cultivation of such a group, i.e. the ignorance of scientific selection mechanism, the lack of personality target cultivation; lack of systematic training in the form, ignoring the course of psychological counseling; contempt at the assessment of the mechanism of competition, the lack of dynamic monitoring and evaluation, incentives tending to utilitarian, lack of clarity in the security system, etc.Chapter six mainly explores the ways and training modes of the cultivation of backbone groups of college students. Firstly, the basic concept of cultivation of the Students backbone groups should be determined:the charm of personality, model of both working and learning. Again the training objectives and content of the training is decided. I will divide the training objectives into four levels, which are the base layer, i.e. the ability to learn and the ability to work; leading layer, i.e. the socialist core values; the core layer, i.e. leadership, spirit of excellence and social responsibility; expansion layer, i.e. hobbies and personal talent. Given the conditions of our country and college students, the training paths and methods are decided: the combination of social requirements and personality development, designing a multi-dimensional growth path; the direction of the dominant and the law of growth combined to create the overall linkage pattern; the combination of the study of theory and social practice, to establish the correct values so that the mechanism cultivation consisting of "choice""cultivation","stimulation", and "test" can be established.Chapter seven discusses the management system of college student backbone groups. The system includes the management of the Student Leaders group of construction of the organization and management team building. The construction of organization is mainly oriented from the characteristics of the backbone groups of college students and overall training objectives, and norms for various groups of students and the internal structure of the duties and powers in order to establish a scientific and strict management system. The management team building including the construction of the Student Political Cadres cultivation mechanism and their nurturing ways. Finally, we should highlight the caucus role to play in the backbone of the college students in the group management.
