The main research aim, this study, based on the method of literature review, experiments, questionnaire survey, etc, firstly explored the basic theoretical foundation, then, analyzed the theory & method of the introduction and finally put forward the value, problems and suggestion for introducing flipped classroom into public PE teaching in colleges by analyzing the efficiency resulted from the teaching experiment. The main results and conclusions have been drawn from this study as follows:1.The prerequisites of implementing flipped classroom in public PE classroom in colleges include complete teaching facilities, professional training for teachers and students, financial, technical and administrative support, learners’autonomy, and teachers’full understanding the students.2. Flipped classroom plays a more positive role in students’attitude toward PE exercise to help students to master the technical movements of PE, but has no significant difference on the aspect of the effect on students’physical fitness level. It may attribute to the interval of public physical education curriculum, exercise consciousness and living habits of students in colleges at present.3. The value of implementing flipped classroom in PE class in colleges lies in:promote the development of college sports teaching information, solving the contradiction between teaching unity and diversity, realizing the combination of teaching instrumental ism and humanity, helping implement the health-first policy and improving the teaching efficiency.4. However, the following problems must be pointed out in introducing the flipped classroom into colleges’PE teaching:to further improve students’learning autonomy, and teachers’ability, to further perfect online learning environment, to lack the theoretical and practical or experience research on the introduction.5. The introduction needs focusing on students’autonomous learning ability, teachers’ability and group work, informationalized teaching environment, theoretical and practical research, teaching security, full understanding of classroom value and avoidance of alienation of the flipped classroom.6. Flipped classroom also has its own shortcomings, whether to flip the classroom, should according to the sports teaching goal, teaching content and student’s basic situation to determine, how to combinate the flipped classroom and traditional sports classroom, we should continue to explore in the future.
