| The competency improvement of college counselors is a new research direction in the theory of competence. The competency of college counselors is emphasized on the role evolution and the role choices for reality. This is a reasonable strategy for college counselors to cope with various challenges.This paper attempts to study the competency of college counselors from the perspective of team-role theory. The purpose is to explore the role played and led by competency improvement, to share the use of team-role theory to discuss the special experience of college counselors, and to establish effective strategies to enhance the competency of college counselors, thus enhance the educating ability of college counselors.The main reasons focused on the study for the competency improvement of college counselors are that: firstly, the researches on competency from the perspective of management are in the majority, qualitative research is obvious; secondly, the research of competency from the perspective of pedagogy and other areas of the college counselors’ roles can be further enhanced. This article mainly comes from the perspective of team-role theory, working on analysis for roles and study to the competency improvement of college counselors, to promote the competency of college counselors by improving team role, in order to promote the professional development of college counselors.In this study, we use qualitative and quantitative methods, which are qualitative BEI interview method, text analysis method, and also have a quantitative analysis of the questionnaire data SPSS, AMOS structure equation analysis.These four methods have the significance for the scientific and standardized construction of college counselors’ competency improvement research.The whole article is made up by seven parts,including introductory, tag and five-part main body.The article’s introductory mainly explain the reason to choose the topic, researching value,literature review,the ways to study, researching importance and difficulty and innovation points.The main body mainly answers the following questions:First, the analysis of College Counselors’ competence. In this paper, the content of competence and competency improvement has been combined together. From the perspective of the role environment of the college counselor competence. This paper explores the core of the competency- the improvement of team role. In the first chapter, the paper analyzes the connotation, characteristics and model construction of College Counselors’ competence.Second, the basic method of the research on the competence of the College Counselors.Combining existing model modality and basing on knowing well about modeling rules,flow and technological ways. To utilize behavior event interview method review, opening questionnaire survey with some other methods,which figure out “ five-factor competence model†coupled by five potential variables and fifty observing variables.Third, the analysis of the competency of College counselors. Previous studies have tended to be biased towards the individual analysis of the object, while ignoring the empirical study in a larger context, and this is a preliminary attempt and to be presented in the second chapter. In this paper, the reason for college counselors competency rather than competency model construction research, mainly based on the over 20 years experience of the interpretation of the role, coupled with the high experience judgment of the growth correlation of college counselors, the organization environment and peer influence.Fourth, the logical analysis of the College Counselors’ competency improvement. Uphold the problem oriented and goal orientation is to carry out the basic of the study. In the fourth chapter, this paper mainly focuses on three aspects: the first is the explanation of role related concepts, the second is the introduction of the main representative, the third is the logical construction of the competency of College counselors. Thus, this paper summarizes the logical path of "competency- symbiotic character- role pattern" of this study.Fifth, the strategy of the improvement of College Counselors’ competence. Strategy is a conception which is easy to produce preference in scientific research. This study aims to improve the competency of college counselors through team role. In the fourth chapter, the role of the team is embodied in the five dimensions of leadership, effectiveness, adaptability, innovation and execution.From this we can know, the ways to prove the College Counselors’ competence in new period are: firstly, government should attach great importance to the system design, and the College Counselors can benefit from those policies.secondly, the colleges should fully think about the impact on counselors’ competency from sociological factors such as sexuality,age,educational background and so on;third, the counselors themselves have to enhance individually study so that the can promote professional quality and ability,also sublimate spirit of dedication and vocation value, and develop leadership,strengthen efficacy, exploit adjustment,motivate innovation and intensify execution.The main work and innovation of this paper are: on the basis of clarifying the basic theory of competency, the organic integration of team role theory, and explore the perspective of traditional research and practical topics, focus from the perspective of education, psychology and sociology and other cross disciplinary background to make a new cause analysis and path selection.In particular, the research on the role of the team role of the college counselors has a broad application prospect, which is worthy of further study. |
