Study On Feature, Evolution And Regulation Of Economic Spatial Structure In Central Plains Economic Region

Central rise is required by region economy coordinates development in China. Asa series of strategic decisions implements, there is a rapid economic growth in CentralPlains Economic Region. Meanwhile, region economic difference has become moreand more significant, and must cause formation and evolution of regional economicspatial structure. Central Plains Economic Region, as a less developed area withHe’nan province predominant and based on mineral resource development, differsfrom developed East China on economic phase, composition elements, evolution lawand driving force of economic spatial structure necessarily. This paper takes CentralPlains Economic Region as the research object, and with theoretical guidance ofeconomics, management science, space science and sociology, analyses thecharacteristics, evolution law, driving force and development tendency of economicspatial structure in different regions, proposes macro-control policy instruments ofregional economic intensive growth-space control policies, with the multiplemethods of Macroscopic and Microscopic, Mathematical Analysis and SpatialAnalysis of GIS were used. This paper will give scientific guidance to transformeconomic spatial structure in Central Plains Economic Region reasonably and providetheoretical basis and decision support for upgrade of economic spatial structure inMidwest. The main content of this paper includes4aspects as below.Firstly, this paper explores spatial patterns evolution of economic developmentlevel and economic growth rate in Central Plains Economic Region. Thencomposition elements, characteristics and types are researched on economic spatialstructure evolution in Central Plains Economic Region. The result shows that regionaleconomic spatial difference has gradually expanded. The evolution followedconvergence and divergence, spatial equilibrium and disequilibrium alternatelyrepeats itself in endless cycles. Economic spatial structure shows features of highcomplexity and spatial positive correlation. Low-low economic agglomeration stateis still dominant type of economic spatial structure.Secondly, influence factors and driving force for formation of economic spatialstructure are researched in Central Plains Economic Region. In order to study ondriving force of economic spatial evolution, the thesis makes a locally weightedregression analysis of influencing factors with the method of GWR to find dominantfactors. Based on above analysis, the driving force of economic spatial evolution isdetermined by the coefficient of variation method. The results show that dominant factors of county economic growth are different in different economic spatialagglomeration states. And the driving forces of economic spatial structure evolutionare mining development, agricultural development, and transportation conditions inCentral Plains Economic Region.According to the evolvement regulations of economic spatial structure in CentralPlains Economic Region, economic development model of resource-based county isestablished, with the principle of system dynamics. By regulation testing of policyvariables and using different combinations of parameters, this paper sets foureconomic development modes to simulate and forecast trend and direction ofeconomic development in Central Plains Economic Region. Prediction result indicatesthat there will be multi-economic center in economic spatial structure. Mineraldevelopment will still play an important role in economic spatial structure evolution.Focus and direction of economic development are subject to a certain degreemacro-impact in different policy control means. But either means don’t changeeconomic spatial structure, type and feature of Central Plains Economic Region. Areais still dominated by low-low economic spatial agglomeration state and showingcomplex economic spatial structure features.Due to evolution trend of regional economic spatial structure, logicalorganization and distribution of production can’t be configured in accordance with thenew resource disposition. And it hinders regional economic development and spatialstructure regulation. In the case of maintaining regional production factor inputsconstantly, this paper introduces policy instruments of spatial structure regulation-space configuration of production factor. It can upgrade spatial structure of CentralPlains Economic Region to high-high economic spatial agglomeration state from2026.Finally, policy suggestions for upgrading the economic spatial structure in CentralPlains Economic Region are put forward.
