Nowadays, the teachers faced with a lot of non-professional interferences, it is becoming complicated and more difficult for teachers to make moral choice. Some educational purposes which seem "best for you", in fact, may just meet the school’s entrance requirements, the needs of the parents’expectation, and the teachers’pursuit of interests. However, we ignore the authenticity of education and the demand of students’development, which leads to the lost of the education spirit and moral indifference. How to be a good teacher? What is the most important for being a good teacher? These real questions are not only related to the teachers’appeal to full life, but also directly or indirectly, closely related to students’development. Based on the above-mentioned background, this study proceeds a systemic research on the current situations and the problems of teachers’ethics in the perspective of combining theoretical thinking with phenomena.Firstly, this paper analyses the connotation, characteristics and its educational value of teachers’ethics."it is moral that is generally believed to be the highest aim of human beings, so the moral is also the highest goal of education." Education has the connotation of moral significance, then the teachers as the human elements in education activities, is "educator". And the teachers not only achieve this mission by individual moral cultivation, but also as the existence of the community, have an important effect on the students, which due to the particularity of education activities. Therefore, teachers’ethics are expected. Many researchers also have found that the teachers as the role of ethics and the value system of schools have a potential influence on the students.Teachers’ethics is closely related to teachers’specialization. Regarding the teachers as professionals, teachers’ethics refers to the professional norms and responsibility when the teachers play the role of educators. Teachers’ethics reflects the ethical characteristics of education. It is the important symbol of teachers’ professional quality, and the moral undertake of teacher community. Teachers’ethics has the characteristics of practical, relational, hierarchical, life-related, symbiotic, borderless, restrictive and so on.Then, this study applies the method of observation, interview and text analysis to explore the understanding and expectation of teachers’ethics in people’s mind, describes the dimensions of relationships and the core contents of teachers’ethics. Teachers’ ethics is ethics and responsibility that reflected in some relationships between teachers and students, school and society, peers, parents, profession and ways teachers treated themselves and so on. Teachers’ ethics has influence on the students in moral impact, stimulating interest in learning, cultivating habits and methods, psychological emotional care, building up confidence and mind inspiration, etc.Furthermore, taking the conclusion of the text analysis as the framework, this study uses the questionnaire to investigate the actual state of teachers’ ethics. The research found that teachers’ ethics as a whole is in good condition at present, but it has certain differences in different dimensions of relationships. Among them, the dimension of "the teachers and students" is fairly consistent with the overall condition of teachers’ ethics, which means it is the most representative dimension to reflect the overall level of teachers’ ethics; The dimension of "teachers and peers" has the highest overall level; The overall level of the dimensions of "teachers and parents""teachers and profession" are slightly lower than the total average. In addition, different respondents have different views on the actual state of teachers’ethics. For example, the teachers and the students have common viewpoints in the evaluation of the aspects of "whether the teachers understand the students","the teachers take care of the students’ life, health and psychological"; While the teachers have a higher evaluation than the students on the value as "care","justice" and so on.This research strives to reveal the distance between people’s expectation for teachers’ ethics in their mind and the actual state of teachers’ ethics. Taking a new look at teachers’ ethics, we found that "good" teachers’ moral goal is the ideal of teachers’ ethics; in teachers’ ethics relationship,"how the teachers treat students" acts as the core;"should or not" is the value performance of teachers’ ethics; from norm to morality embodies the boundary of teachers’ ethics. To this end, in order to reconstruct teachers’ ethics, we need to wake up the ethical responsibility of teacher community; to not only focus on the teachers’ own development, but also pay more attention to its influence on the students’ development; to dilute the teachers’ quantitative assessment and focus on the ethical practice of education; and to construct the integration path of teachers’ethics education.
