Cast steel,mainly in the form of the cast-steel joint,is widely used in architectural engineering with good mechanical performance and applicability.Along with the development of cast-steel joint,cast-steel structure has been built in China.Due to the fact that there is a lack of information on the engineering applications and related studies of cast-steel structures,some issues about analysis,design and construction need to be solved.These issues include the mechanical properties of the cast-steel element of cast-steel structure,the influence of cast steel's inhomogeneity on cast-steel element and cast-steel structure,the mechanical properties of cast-steel structure in construction process,design method of cast-steel structure and so on.Leaving these issues unsolved will directly restrain the promotion and application of the cast-steel structure.Therefore,both the numerical analysis and experimental research have been used to conduct systematic research on the cast-steel element and cast-steel structure.Several research results with great importance in scientific research and engineering application have been obtained:The chemical composition and mechanical properties of the cast steel' marks which can be used in structural engineering are analyzed and concluded.According to the existing resistance factor of the cast steel,the design indicators of these marks which are suitable for existing engineering applications are obtained.Full-scaled tests were conducted to investigate the structural behavior of the caststeel element that is composed of members and joint.In addition,finite element models were established.The mechanical performance,loading capacity and failure modes were achieved.The safety and reliability of the cast-steel element were verified.Using probability theory and finite element numerical simulation,the stochastic finite element model was built taken into account the inhomogeneity of cast steel.According to the results of both ideal finite element and test,the influence of cast steel's inhomogeneity on the strain distribution and ultimate bearing capacity of the cast-steel element were uncovered.Using probability theory and finite element numerical simulation,the stochastic finite element model of cast-steel tower was built considering the inhomogeneity of cast steel.Based on the results from the ideal finite element,the influence of cast steel's inhomogeneity on the stress and strain's distribution,dynamic behavior of the cast-steel structure were obtained.Through the finite element numerical simulation and real-time monitoring,the ideal construction model and the construction model with actual deviation of construction were built.Mechanical properties of cast-steel tower structure in the construction process were evaluated.The static performance of the cast-steel tower structure in the construction process is obtained,and the influence of the construction scheme and deviation of construction on the static performance of structure was gained.According to the design of cast-steel component and joint,the analysis and design method of cast-steel structure were obtained,with the research of the reinforcement of steel casting,the design system of cast-steel structure was constituted.These work provide a reference to the JGJ specification “Technical specification for cast-steel structure” and provides a technical basis for the future application of cast-steel structures.
