This paper describes the sustainable development goal of the Huallywood film industry.A reliable sustainable development is the process for meeting industrial development goals while sustaining the ability of inner-cultural and cross-cultural communication to continue to provide the social resources and media ecosystem services upon which the economy and industry depends. An industry with a sustainable development concept will not take the expense of consumers' well-being to challenge the limits of industrial growth. In terms of the film industry, the development path, social responsibility and values orientation are as important as the economic development and cultural communication strategies of the industry within the scope of Internet Thinking and the time frame of the Big Data Era.The rise of the China's hard power and the vitality and intensity of its film market have made the Huallywood film industry the latest target on the world's film stage since China's accession to the WTO and the industrialization of Huallywood. There are plenty of reviews talking about this phenomenon while academic studies of this film industry are mainly aimed at the expansion of the cinema, the blowout of the box-office as well as discussion with the pros and cons which digital growth has brought to this industry, etc.Authorities and mainstream media have relatively few criticisms regarding this data driving from these positive data, with analysis of hidden problems which may be detrimental to sustainable development, such as from the perspective of the media ecology of the industrial content for lacking a film rating system and its impact on sustainability. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the development of the film ecology with the application of media ecology theory,so as to argue that film rating can seriously enhance Huallywood's competitive soft power with commercial and managerial means. To be more specific, this paper focuses on four aspects of sustainable development theme:production and resource allocation;influences of film rating on its consumption and use;promotion of cultural and ideological progress;and the moral and political responsibility. This paper revolves around the following issue:why do we believe that the implementation of the film rating system is one of the sustainable development supporting pillars for Huallywood?Furthermore, performances regard to Huallywood's film rating systems' practice can be argued with following subtopics:human capital facilitation(e.g.the sixth-generation directors);institutional changes and adaptations(e.g.enforcement of the film censorship and Motion Picture Act);and ideology that promotes China's "going out"strategy(e.g.subdivision of animation categories). In general, the discussion is made around the topic of sustainable development of the power of Huallywood and for the sake of a better international cultural image. In order to achieve the above objectives, this paper mainly analyzes the text related to the development of the industry and discusses the mode of operation for sustainable development. The contribution of this research can be divided into two outcomes.First,it can help to collect the theoretical puzzles of Huallywood theory, and to make a better understanding with the challenges of the current film industry.Second, this study explores the factors of mutual benefit and restraint between film rating and the film industry's sustainable development. The study hopes to provide referencing suggestions for the decision making process related to the establishment of laws and regulations of film in the future.
