In this paper,according to the implementation of preferential policies for minority education,researching Northwest minority students' employment expectations,employment status,their interpretation for employment and their response to all aspects of employment,exploring the contradictions and problems which exist in employment expectations of Northwest minority students,analyzing the relationship between quality of employment and employment expectations,ultimately giving some relevant suggestions and countermeasures to employment expectations' accommodation which must facing some challenges.Northwest minority students have higher expectations on employment,however,there is a big gap between ethnic minority college students' expectations and employment in the actual reality.As young minority population which has accept a higher education,Northwest minority college students as a group of minority population,is part of our quality workforce,their employment expectations and employment situation will impact on economic development and moderately prosperous society's building in China's western border areas on different degrees.In this paper,using theory of ethnology,economics,and combining the quantitative and qualitative research methods,supplemented by a large number of interviews and documents,through the social surveys of minority college students and some students who have employed in recent years in partly relevant minority colleges in northwest to exploring a variety of factors which impacting minority college students' employment expectations,and analyzing employment expectations,requirements and quality of employment for minority college students,assessing the status of ethnic minority college student's employment expectations,and discussing countermeasures path to a certain level on the problems faced by students' employment expectations.Firstly,this paper making surveys for the status of minority undergraduates' employment expectations in Northwest China,including the remuneration,job stability,length of labor,vocational training,working conditions and other future work aspects of employment expectation surveys for minority college students.Secondly,this paper analyzing influencing factors of Northwest minority college students' employment expectations detailed,including analysis of various factors,comparing the various ethnic groups' employment expectations of Northwest college students,influencing factors detailed comparison between minority and Han nationality students' employment expectations,etc.it is today's employment expectations "ideal" of Northwest minority college students and its concentrated reflection.Thirdly,this paper analyzing employment situation and the employment differences between peoples of Northwest minorities were analyzed,this section reflecting part of minority college student's employment status in northwest region,especially for many minority college students who just graduated,this is today's employment expectations "reality" of Northwest minority college students and its concentrated reflection.Furthermore,this paper analyzing the gap between employment reality and employment expectations of Northwest minority college students,currently employment reality is that the employment market has a grim situation,employment impacted by economic structure and the status of industry,and specialty schools,minority college students' employment ideas,influences from family,etc.have caused gaps among minority college students employment expectations and employment reality.Finally,this paper is expected to enhance the level of employment expectations for Northwest minority students and raised several reflections,including promoting minority college students' employment initiative,setting employment-related policies and regulations to encourage and support minority students' employment,encouraging independent innovation and entrepreneurship for minority college students,reforming nature and professional setting of minority colleges,adding new job position and new job market.Thinking through these points,providing effective pathways for employment expectations' adjustment,improving employment quality and expanding employment of Northwest minority college students.
