With the development of science and technology,innovation is no longer a simple linear process from knowledge innovation to technology application but features of increasingly complex interactions.As the two core subjects of knowledge innovation and technology innovation,collaborative innovation between universities and enterprises to break organizational boundaries and realize inter-organizational integration of resources has become an objective demand for innovation-driven development.However,in practice,University-Industrial collaborative innovation in China is confronted with the problem that resources between subjects are difficult to flow and effectively integrate,which has become an important obstacle to the development of University-Industrial collaborative innovation.The resource integration between universities and enterprises across organizations needs to be realized through a series of inter-organizational collaborative behaviors,which are affected by the internal,inter-organizational and innovation environment factors.It has become an urgent problem for the current research to identify the driving factors at all levels of collaborative behavior between universities and enterprises,enhance the motivation of universities and enterprises to participation in collaborative innovation,and promote the behavioral process of University-Industrial collaborative innovation so as to realize the integration of innovative resources across organizations.Based on this problem,this research comprehensively applies embeddedness theory,resource-based theory and innovation theory to study the resource integration in the process of University-Industrial collaborative innovation.This paper summarizes the research progress of University-Industrial collaborative innovation and resource integration,constructs the theoretical analysis framework of resource integration in University-Industrial collaborative innovation,analyzes the mechanism of University-Industrial collaborative behavior on resource integration,and the influence of organizational,inter-organizational and innovation environment factors on University-Industrial collaborative behavior.Establish the relationship model and hypothesis of "Embeddedness--University-Industrial Collaborative Behavior--Resource Integration",and then develop a questionnaire to verify the model hypothesis.According to the statistical results of the collected questionnaire and in-depth interview,this paper analyzes the current status and existing problems of the resource integration in the process of University-Industrial collaborative innovation in China and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.This study mainly draws the following conclusions:1.Proved the key role of collaborative behavior in understanding the process of University-Industrial Collaborative Innovation.Collaborative behavior is the dynamic representation of the subjects participating in collaborative innovation and the key of resource integration.Collaborative behavior dominates the integration process of innovation resources.2.Based on embeddedness theory,a three-layer embedding model of University-Industrial collaborative behavior "organizational embedding,inter-organizational embedding and environmental embedding" was established,and the influence mechanism of three-layer social embedding on the generation,maintenance and risk monitoring of University-Industrial collaborative behavior was found.Organizational embedding can significantly affect partner selection behavior and collaborative relationship maintenance behavior,but not risk monitoring behavior.Interorganizational embedding and environmental embedding have significant influence on each dimension of University-Industrial collaborative behavior and inter-organizational embedding has the highest path coefficient on collaborative behavior at each stage,which proves that inter-organizational embedding has a key effect on collaborative behavior.3.Established the theoretical analysis framework of resource integration in University-Industrial collaborative innovation,revealed the influence mechanism of University-Industrial collaborative behavior on resource integration,and empirically verified the mechanism.It was found that partner selection significantly affected resource acquisition process,but not resource fusion.Collaborative relationship maintenance and risk monitoring significantly affect resource acquisition and resource fusion.Cooperative relationship maintenance behavior has the highest path coefficient in the two stages of resource integration.This proves that the maintenance of collaborative relationship is the core behavior of the integration of University-Industrial collaborative innovation resources and the most important factor to promote the resource integration of University-Industrial collaborative innovation.4.Constructed the relationship model and hypothesis of "Embeddedness--University-Industrial collaborative behavior--Resource Integration",and designed the questionnaire on resource integration of University-Industrial collaborative innovation from the perspective of embeddedness to describe the influence factors of resource integration in the process of University-Industrial collaborative innovation.5.At present,there are still some problems in the process of resource integration of University-Industrial collaborative innovation in China,such as the lack of support for collaboration in the existing practices within the organization,the low reputation of cooperative partner organizations,the low degree of regional cooperation activity,the lagging construction of intermediary organizations,the difficulty in matching the collaborative objectives,the high barriers to resource sharing,and insufficient communication between universities and corporations.To solve these problems,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,including perfecting the internal incentive system,creating a good environment for internal innovation,strengthening the organizational learning ability of innovative subjects,constructing organizational culture of collaborative innovation,balancing both collaborative goals and the organization goals,establishing a comprehensive resource sharing mechanism,constructing scientific and effective organization management system of University-Industrial collaborative innovation,establishing a reasonable benefit distribution mechanism,setting up the communication mechanism of universities and enterprises,establishing complete information disclosure mechanism,enhancing the construction of University-Industrial cooperation innovation platform,strengthening the guidance and planning of collaborative innovation and establishing scientific risk sharing mechanism,etc.
