Research On The Influence Of China's Industrial Clusters On Regional Innovation Ability

After more than 40 years of reform and opening-up,due to the changes in the international economic situation and the lack of domestic growth momentum,China's regional economic growth has begun to slow down in recent years and gradually entered a new normal development stage.It is imperative to promote high-quality development with regional innovation as the core driving force.Industrial clusters,which rely on the geographical agglomeration of enterprises,talents,capital,information and other elements,have become the main carrier of cultivating regional innovation ability.At present,there is no unified conclusion about the mechanism and actual effect of industrial clusters on regional innovation capability,and most of the research focuses on provincial regions.In view of the above problems,this paper analyzes the theoretical mechanism of industrial clusters' influence on regional innovation capability,empirically tests the actual influence of industrial clusters on regional innovation capability from the perspective of provinces,cities and micro-enterprises,and makes a case study on the promotion of regional innovation capability by industrial clusters in Guangdong Province,which not only broadens the breadth and depth of existing research on regional innovation capability,but also has important practical significance for optimizing the layout and internal structure of industrial clusters.The research work of this paper is mainly carried out from the following aspects:Firstly,the definition of related concepts and theoretical combing.At present,there is no unified conclusion about the definition of industrial clusters and regional innovation capability.This paper attempts to clearly define the related concepts by analyzing the characteristics of different industrial clusters and the causes of regional innovation capability.On this basis,this paper combs and summarizes the industrial cluster theory such as industrial layout and agglomeration theory,growth pole theory,new industrial zone theory,Schumpeter's innovation theory,new competitive advantage theory,regional innovation system theory and other related theories of regional innovation ability in detail,which lays a solid theoretical foundation for the follow-up research.Secondly,it combs and analyzes the current situation of China's industrial clusters and regional innovation capability.First of all,the paper analyzes the development history and current characteristics of China's industrial clusters,and thinks that the development of China's industrial clusters has gone through four stages,from the dominant position of policy-oriented industrial clusters to the dominant position of market-oriented industrial clusters,and the distribution of industrial clusters shows a trend of shifting from the central and western regions to the southeast coastal regions.Secondly,the status quo of China's regional innovation capability is analyzed from two aspects: the absolute level of regional innovation and the relative innovation efficiency.The evolution of China's regional innovation capability is basically consistent with the location transfer characteristics of industrial clusters.Finally,this paper makes an empirical analysis on the influencing factors of China's regional innovation capability by constructing Tobit panel data model.Thirdly,the mechanism analysis of industrial clusters' influence on regional innovation ability.This paper combs the evolution stages and paths of industrial clusters and cluster innovation,and analyzes the evolution logic of innovation in different development stages of industrial clusters.This paper discusses the influence mechanism of industrial clusters on regional innovation ability from two aspects of regional internal enterprises and regional whole,and innovatively puts forward that the dynamic mechanism of industrial clusters on internal enterprises mainly includes explicit power and implicit power,and at the same time,it improves regional whole innovation ability through knowledge spillover mechanism.Fourthly,the empirical test of the influence of industrial clusters on China's regional innovation capability.Most of the existing researches examine the influence of industrial clusters on regional innovation capability from the provincial macro level.This paper expands the research scope to the municipal level and micro-enterprise level.Firstly,the data of micro-enterprises are taken as research samples to build a double difference model for empirical test.The results show that China's industrial clusters can significantly enhance the innovation capability of enterprises within the region,and show certain regional and ownership heterogeneity.Then,taking the data of macro prefecture-level cities as research samples,we build double-difference and spatial double-difference models for empirical test.The results show that industrial clusters can significantly improve the overall innovation ability of the region,but have a certain siphon effect on the innovation ability of surrounding areas.Fifthly,the factors of industrial clusters affecting regional innovation ability are analyzed.On the basis of theoretical analysis and research hypothesis,this paper constructs a fixed effect panel data model to empirically test the factors that affect the regional innovation capability of industrial clusters.The results show that R&D intensity,knowledge embeddedness and intellectual capital investment have positive effects on the promotion effect of industrial clusters' regional innovation capability,while the excessive geographical distance restricts the promotion effect of industrial clusters' regional innovation capability to a certain extent.Sixthly,the case analysis of Guangdong industrial clusters affecting regional innovation ability.Firstly,the development course,distribution characteristics and development status of industrial clusters in Guangdong Province are combed and analyzed,and the important challenges facing industrial clusters in Guangdong Province are revealed.Secondly,it deeply and comprehensively analyzes the development mode of innovation clusters in Guangdong Province and the current situation of regional innovation capability.Finally,this paper summarizes the mode of cultivating regional innovation capability by industrial clusters in Guangdong Province,and on the basis of learning from the development experience of innovation clusters in Guangdong Province,puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions for promoting regional innovation capability by optimizing and upgrading industrial clusters in China.Seventhly,on the basis of summarizing the research conclusions,this paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.On the basis of summarizing the conclusions of theoretical analysis,empirical test and case analysis,this paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions for the construction of regional innovation-oriented industrial cluster system in China,strengthens the supporting role of the government,gives full play to the main role of enterprises,and gives full play to the key role of science and technology intermediaries.
