With the development process of digital design from popularization to upgrading,contemporary design has undergone rapid changes,which has gone beyond the simple visual image level and tends to be more comprehensive,systematic and cross-border.However,the teaching of basic design in most colleges and universities is not optimistic.The learning mode of grade segmented,simplified and divided unit courses is still covered in the design teaching of almost all domestic colleges and universities,that is,the so-called courses of sketch,color,decoration and composition.It can be seen that the contradiction between specialized and fragmented knowledge training and the current comprehensive and cross design development trend has put forward severe challenges to design education,especially the basic design curriculum.To solve this problem,the method and research direction of this paper is: through the integration and reconstruction of curriculum,try to build a thematic,comprehensive teaching mode of design basis,take the integration of topics and assignment arrangement as the teaching method,and take various forms of "grammar","technique" and "view" as the assignment way,so as to reflect and innovate the basic teaching.This paper first discusses the integration and diversity of Bauhaus basic design teaching,and reflects on the fragmentation of China's design education in many aspects in the overall framework of its curriculum.Secondly,it discusses the status quo of professional development,realistic situation and students' conditions from the perspective of pedagogy and discipline theory.Thirdly,the paper focuses on integration From the point of view of "form",this paper makes a referential description of the related basic teaching topics such as Sino foreign international joint teaching workshop,architectural design and contemporary art;secondly,it reveals the development direction of "form" oriented basic design curriculum based on the basic elements of design basis;finally,it takes curriculum mode,project design,operation conditions,theme entry and other contents as the curriculum In order to discuss 12 thematic and comprehensive design teaching cases in the four directions of object,method,crossover and specialty under the concept of "integration",and record and analyze the teaching effect.The core of thematic teaching method in this paper is to reconstruct the original course content which is divided by techniques and materials under the theme through subject integration,and carry out teaching activities and practice around a series of simple to complex thematic teaching units.The purpose of this teaching reform is to break the traditional curriculum mode of classification,advocate the return of teaching concept to the characteristics of interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary design,and coincide with the current "big design" with great integration significance.Therefore,it has a certain creative value and practical significance for the construction of new teaching system of design.
