Research On The Governance Functions Of Technology Innovation Network Routines

With the arrival of knowledge economy based on information resource,companies can rapidly achieve knowledge generation and trading in a lower cost though network organization,thus knowledge acquisition mode has been recognized in a wide range.However,causing network organization has all kinds of organization form and becomes much complex,this results difficulties of squeezing information and coordinating the member of network relationship,especially in technological innovation network for its much looser.As a consequence,scholars have started to pay attention to their governance issues,and made certain findings.But in practice a lot of innovationnetwork failure because of various reasons,the main reason is that this organization composed of multiple actors and theirs governance network haven't been solved effectively.There are two governance mechanisms in technological innovation network organization.One is formal contract and institutional arrangements among network behavior,the other is network routines.Even though formal contract and institutional arrangements are widely used as a means of coordinating the network organization,yet we must be noted that this approach is only provides a general exchange framework for network behavior,Because of incomplete contracts and specific directivity makes these formal coordination to be powerless in some not mentioned problem,and this problem are always numerous,specific,unpredictable and blurred.Therefore,the network routines as informal mechanism playimportant complementary roles in governance.So research network routines management functions are important for promoting an efficient technology innovation network.Firstly this paper analysis and researchthe routineseffect and its running process on technological innovation network based on reading the relevant literature and considering technological innovation network governance characteristics.Then discuss the routines governance functions by the in-depth interviews ofenterprises which related technical innovation network,according to the grounded theory method I also pay attention to the motion of routines in network management practice.Finally,the governance capabilities of network routines was validated through sale development and lrge sample measurement.This article's innovation achievements mainly reflect in:First of all,this paper enriched the routines as informal governance mechanisms in technological innovation network governance theory.Network routines are common phenomena in technological innovation network organization.Compared with the traditional cooperative organizations and the general network organization,technology innovation network organizational governance is more focused on coordination between the specification innovation behavior and the relationship between organizations in the innovation process.Based on the network routines management theory and the related theory,also with the deep interview on the enterprise related to innovation network,this paper analyzes the process of how routines work in the network organization.Second,combining the specialties of technological innovation network and its management this paper did a systematic study on the related theory of technological innovation network routines being informal governancemechanisms theoretically.I deer that network routines are network operational regulation that well accepted by the members of network.It exists widely in the network organization.It plays a important part in network management as an informal governance.It directs the related behavior of the organization members briefly but effectively,therefore it benefits the transmitting and sharing of the knowledge in network,coordinates the relationship among the organization,meanwhile,it promotes the steady and revolution of the network.Thirdly,this paper combined the specialties of the innovation process of technological innovation network.Based on understanding the operation mode and the operation condition in the processing of technological innovation network development,I did a deep interview on the enterprise related to innovation network as well as data searches and document reading.I used the research method of the grounded theory,meanwhile went through the protective of oen coding analysis,the axial coding and selective coding.Considering the related researches,I revealed the governance function of the network routines by studying the specific representation and mechanism.I find out that the governance function of the network routines include three aspects which are restraining the action,structuring the knowledge and formulating the relationship.Fourthly,after the field survey,network routines governance functions were supported in exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.Based on the interview with the previous text,also combined with the research on the related literature and associated measurement methods,I preparation the technological innovation network management Function Questionnaire in line with china's national conditions.This paper confirmed network routines functions multidimensional model by exploratory factor and confirmatory factoranalysis,and establishing the dimensions and measured methods at last which proves the routines governance function.In summary,this paper makes up for some of the deficiencies of existing theoretical research on network governance,and enriched the research which related to network routines.In practice,this research will help guide the behavior of cooperative innovation for enterprises networking,and enhance the effective application of technological innovation network routines in the process of governance.
