China has completed the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way.The ultimate goal of economic development is the people’s quality of life. The quality of people’s life is reflected not only in the prosperity of material civilization, but also in the stability of spiritual civilization. In the new era, people begin to avoid simply using economic growth, sense of gain and sense of satisfaction to measure the quality of life. They has pay more and more attention to happiness. The research of well-being has become an important research field in China’s social sciences.Based on the thoughts of previous scholars, this paper further analyzes the relationship between physical exercise and subjective well-being by constructing a theoretical model.Firstly, the structural dimensions of subjective well-being of exercisers are explored by qualitative research methods;Combined with the results of exercise psychology, this paper makes a theoretical analysis on the influencing factors and generation mechanism of subjective well-being in the process of physical exercise.Secondly, the subjective well-being scale of exercisers is compiled on the basis of qualitative research, which lays the foundation for quantitative research. Finally,it makes an empirical analysis on the relationship between physical exercise, exercise social support and subjective well-being,as well as the influence mechanism of exercise persistence. This is of great significance to grasp the generation law of individual well-being,sort out the influence mechanism of individual well-being,and improve individual well-being in the process of physical exercise. The main conclusions and innovations of this study are as follows:First,in order to reveal the difference between the structural dimension of individual subjective well-being and Western subjective well-being in the process of exercise in the Chinese context, this study conducted an exploratory study on the variables of exercise subjective well-being.On the basis of literature review, using in-depth interview as the data collection method,a semi-structured interview was conducted with 20 physical exercise participants.Based on the interview data, the grounded theory coding method is used to code and analyze the interview data. The results show that the subjective well-being of exercisers can be divided into four dimensions: exercise effect satisfaction, psychological emotion, exercise relationship satisfaction and life satisfaction. Most of the existing studies directly learn from the western theoretical model of subjective well-being,but ignore the reality that the philosophical basis of subjective well-being variables is biased.A large number of empirical studies in China did not explore the philosophical views behind its theoretical model, which brought the problem of the theoretical applicability of the current variables, and then led to the inconsistency of empirical conclusions. Most scholars attribute the inapplicability of this theory to situational factors and neglect of variables in the discussion of results, which is not rigorous. Therefore, this paper attempts to explore the structure of subjective well-being of Chinese exercisers through qualitative research methods. It is found that in the process of physical exercise, exercisers generally have the feelings of exercise relationship satisfaction and exercise effect satisfaction, but the items of life satisfaction in the subjective well-being scale can not fully include these two kinds of satisfaction,Moreover, exercise relationship satisfaction is a feeling produced by the change of interpersonal relationship, the respect and attention of others and individual social interaction in the process of exercise. It is different from the life satisfaction thought by western scholars.Second, this study uses the questionnaire method to compile a subjective well-being measurement tool suitable for "Chinese exerciser problem" through scale modification and test.On the basis of exploratory research, this study compiled an initial questionnaire by using literature method and Delphi method;Further, based on the data of 700 subjects, the questionnaire was revised, reliability and validity test, item analysis and factor analysis. The results show that the exercise subjective well-being scale with three common factors has good reliability and validity, and can meet the needs of quantitative research in this paper. Most of the existing literature on subjective well-being follow the quantitative research ideas of western psychology, and carry out large-scale investigation and empirical research after testing the reliability and validity of measurement tools. However, the existing subjective well-being scale has inaccurate measurement and insufficient explanatory power in China’s empirical research. Therefore, according to the results of exploratory research, this paper uses the questionnaire method to compile the exerciser subjective well-being scale.Lay the foundation of measurement tools for follow-up quantitative research.Thirdly, through structural equation model analysis, this study constructs an overall research framework on the impact of physical exercise, exercise social support and subjective well-being,so as to reveal the impact mechanism of the above three. In this study, structural equation model was used to verify the research hypothesis, stratified and random sampling method was used, and 552 exercisers were investigated by questionnaire.Descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity test, factor analysis and structural equation model analysis were carried out.The study found that physical exercise has a direct impact on exercise subjective well-being,and also has an indirect impact on exercise subjective well-being through the influence of intermediary variables, exercise social support. The existing literature has confirmed the pairwise relationship among physical exercise, social support and subjective well-being,but it has not formed a holistic research framework due to different disciplinary backgrounds. With the development of interdisciplinary integration among sports, psychology and sociology, more and more problems begin to be examined from the perspective of interdisciplinary research. In order to explore the overall picture of individual well-being in the process of exercise, this study adopts an interdisciplinary research perspective, integrates the theoretical viewpoints under the background of various disciplines, and brings the three into the overall research framework for empirical analysis,so as to reveal the influence mechanism of physical exercise, social support and subjective well-being,and further promote the interdisciplinary research of well-being.Fourth,this study uses the questionnaire method to analyze the regulatory role of exercise persistence in the influence mechanism of the three by constructing the interactive items of exercise persistence and physical exercise.Based on the previous structural equation model analysis of the impact of physical exercise and social support on subjective well-being,this study first revised the structural equation model and added interactive terms;Secondly, the modified model is re evaluated and the fitting degree is evaluated. Finally, according to the hypothesis test results, the analysis conclusions are put forward and the analysis results are discussed. The results show that exercise persistence can further amplify the direct effect of physical exercise and exercise subjective well-being.The existing literature has confirmed the single relationship between exercise persistence and physical exercise, social support and subjective well-being.However,most research results are limited by empirical methods and can not fully reveal the effect of exercise persistence on the three mechanisms. In this paper, the empirical method of constructing the interaction between exercise persistence and physical exercise is used for the first time to test the regulatory effect of exercise persistence through structural equation model.
