Light truck plays a very import role in freight transportation and is used widely by people. Unconscionable designed light truck cab space can make driver feel fatigue easily and generate loading on lumbar under physiological conditions, what is worse, it is likely to influence the driver's controlling and security, as a result, an accident must be occurred. So ergonomics design is so significant.Favorable ergonomics design can provide a comfortable driving environment,which is able to reduce driving fatigue and improve driving security. Humanization of light truck cab is reflected vividly.This paper, is based on ergonomics, researches the light truck cab's seat,control device,display device,visual field. It presents a improved scheme through creating a light truck cab 3D modeling and human-machine analysis.Firstly, this paper introduced the GB10000-88 Chinese adults' human dimension and analyzed the following aspects in details:principles of determinating seat H point, a calculation method of seat's regulating quantity, principles of design shift lever, a method of determinating steering wheel's inclined angle, location principles of foot pedal's angle and position, a color scheme of instrument penal.Secondly, according to the light truck cab's engineering drawings, each part of 3D cab modelings were built in Pro/E software. Then they are imported into the CATIA software and assembled on the base of assembly drawing. On the basis of the GB10000-88 adults' human dimension, using CATIA Human Builder to establish percent 95 Chinese man body model,percent 50 Chinese man body model and percent 5 Chinese woman body model.Finally, importing these Chinese body models into the 3D cab respectively and researching the relationship between human and machine. Clash detection, a reach envelope and visual field have been simulated which have verified there is no interference phenomena between human and each part of truck. People can touch every functional buttons. Visual field also satisfies the design requirement. In order to getting human posture scores list, we should edit the angular limitation,preferred angles and set region scores of the human joints. On the base of the list,previous theories and percent 50 Chinese man body model, a theoretical truck 3D cab model was built. Then importing percent 95 Chinese man body model and percent 5 Chinese woman body model respectively into the theoretical truck cab 3D modeling, through analyzing their relationship, posture scores was obtained and proved the theoretical truck 3D modeling was more comfortable than the actual light truck cab 3D modeling, which is a humanistic design. Lastly, an improved design scheme of the light truck cab was presented by foregoing researches.
