With the development of economic and the speed up of the urbanization, the number of motor vehicles increased rapidly, and the demand of traffic increased significantly. Getting the area for commercial facilities is to attract customers. And the increasing flow of people must lead to the traffic pressure of the road net in the project surroundings.The paper introduces the basic theories about commercial complex and traffic impact analysis firstly. Then it analysis the method of traffic demand forecast deeply by using four-stage method. I make a mathematical model from the project traffic demand forecast, background traffic demand forecast and parking forecast three aspects and have a explanation with every model. Then I make a legal traffic impact analysis in section of a railway, crossing, parking facilities and public transport system. And make another mathematical model about comprehensive analysis of the various targets according to the characteristics of large commercial construction projects and considerate in every aspects of the degree of influence if each individual indicators together.To solve the problems from the commercial complex construction project and make a virtuous circle of the urban development pattern, it’s necessary to make a traffic impact analysis in the planning stage of the construction project. At last, with a example of a city’s commercial complex construction project which use a proper model and the methods of traffic impact analysis, I analysis the traffic impacts of this project and then give the advices and the measures to improve the traffic organization in the project surroundings.
