Natural Language Understanding (NLU) is applied to the interface between people andcomputer. New NLU knowledge based system (KBS) model based on domain is established.Analyses of the user requirements in natural language style, the results are convert intorequirement of conceptual design or parameter design to support the future design, which canmake the expert system more intelligent and humanistic. First, The characteristic of Natural Language and Chinese are analyzed. Through analysisand compare of the advantage and disadvantage to several knowledge represent methodspresent, combining conceptual dependency theory with production system is chosen as animportant complementarity to the method based on knowledge. Second, to build ConceptualDependency trees and other conceptual templates, detail analyzing has been made on therelationship between intension and extension of concept and the various relations betweenconcepts. Third, new frame of KBS has been made, which combined the conceptual with thelinguistic knowledge, the deep with the shallow knowledge, and the dynamic with the staticknowledge. Sorting the knowledge in KBS, the construction of KBS is formed, which canlower the redundancy and disaccord. Fourth, to supervise the state of system and controlevery module effectively, manage module is designed. At last, the KBS of Nature Languageis applied to requirement analysis archetypal system for the design of bearings. The systemruns well after debug.
