The Comparative Research On Construction Supply Chain Management Between China And Foreign Countries

Supply chain management came from the theory of Just in Time and logistic management. It has been widely used in the manufacture industry as it can cut down the operating cost, reduce the operating risk and promoting the cooperation among the stakeholders of the industry. The construction industry is quite different from other industries. Because of the characteristic of its producing and production, the traditional mode of management cannot satisfy the demand for developing. There must be a new method of management to replace of the old one, as to promote the development of the industry and the competition of construction companies. Therein, supply chain management became to be focused in the construction industry. The research and application of foreign countries are earlier than that of China. And there are many successful experiences and methods that can be used for reference by our country. Analyzing on the construction supply chain management in foreign countries, and learning from their successful experiences, will promote the development of the construction supply chain management in our industry, and enhance the core competition of our construction corporations.This research bases on the thoughts above, and makes comparison in the construction supply chain management between foreign countries and China. Considering the actual demands and characters of our construction industry, this paper establishes the system of our construction supply chain management, and puts forward the strategies for the implication of the construction supply chain management. First of all, this research focuses on the researching process of the foreign countries in the construction supply chain management, and makes summaries of it, as well as defining the range of comparisons. Next, in virtue of the contrast and analysis method and the keyword analysis method, this research contrast on the researches and applications of construction supply chain management between foreign countries and China in three dimensions: the general situation, the supply chain model and the core components of construction supply chain management.
