| The sluice is a kind of low-head water off building which can not only barraging water but also dredging water .It is widely used in farmland irrigation and water conservancy engineering. The development and enhancement of CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology make it bacome more and more available to design the sluice by CAD technology. The research bases on Visual Basic 6.0 language and uses the OOP technology, developed a kind of sluice design software. The software mainly includes some modules such as the water conservation design module, leakage control and drainage design module, structure design module, foundation computation module, CAD graphics draw module, the program operating instructions module and so on. through used more popular ActiveX Automation technology on AutoCAD secondary development field , make automatic drawing of sluice partial parts into reality and make the foundation for sluice intelligent drawing system.The characteristic of the system is strictly according to《The Sluice Design Norm》(SL265-2001) and other compulsory clause and norms, the software which has a friend man-machine interface is universal and practical and make it convenient to operate.it is suitable for middle or small water conservancy design Companies to design sluice. Through the use of the software may improve efficiency of sluice design in a certain extent and make the design process easily and fast, the design result scientific and precise.
