A Theoretical Research And Application Of Post-Occupancy Evaluation About Built Environment In Living Area

Living areas are the basic units and important component parts of the city. As the development of economic of country, the progress of construction in the city is more quickly. There are a lot of projects which are excellent design and good quality while some others with some problems whether design or in the course of construction, especially in some living areas, they never think about the feelings and needs of people there. So there must be something done to test the course of using in the living areas. The origin of POE, the development of POE, and the status of POE research in domestic and Abroad. We use some theories and methods from the POE systems by others, and this paper focus on the application of POE in living areas.This paper mainly research the application of POE in living area, Based on the data collected through field survey, Questionnaires , behavior observation,photograph and so on, the dissertation chooses some living area as representatives to make a deep and special study by adopting the research methods of analysis and induction and to Verificate Feasibility of POE In living area and explore the model of POE. The paper begins with the analysis of the origin, development and the status of POE research in domestic and Abroad, explains the application in the course of construction of modern China's city and Significance to China. The dissertation shows us the distinction between the mandatory physical evaluation and the POE, and the importance of POE in China.Integrating theories with practice, this dissertation points out the real application of POE. In the fourth section, we adopt the POE in JiaDI Garden in Taiyuan city while explains the standard and classification of POE, and the methods of POE, the specific technology of application and the principle of application.Holding the research theories related to POE as the theoretic footstone and some experiences of as practical basis, combining the practice of built environment POE about Jiadi Garden in Taiyuan city, the dissertation takes a good discussion about the application of POE in living areas.The dissertation is the exploration and in it's first stage about POE in living areas. The goal is to provide reference and practical data for research and application in future and hope to benefit to promote the POE and design and manage in living area.
