| Rizhao Port is located on the South side of Shandong Peninsula, adjacent to Qingdao Port in the north and to Lianyungang in the south, a convenient estuary in the west of China's Beijing-Shanghai line and in the zone along the Eurasian Continental Bridge, having a superior location advantage and good port construction conditions. After nearly 20 years of construction and development, Rizhao Port has developed from a simple port of the energy output into an integrated fully functional port.In accordance with the overall planning of Rizhao Port, she is divided into two harbor areas, Shijiu and Lanshan. However, with the increasing of port handling capacity, existing berths'capacity have been unable to meet the growing needs of throughput, so there is an urgent need for the construction of new berths. According to the requirements of the overall planning of Rizhao Port, the construction of new berths will be south to the future along the west end container berths. The cover conditions of new berths go from bad to worse. The constructed work ship berths are directly affected by the impact of the south waves with bad operating conditions.
